Got this for my friends fluffy cat. It worked well on the small mats around his neck but large mats close to the skin this isn't the right tool.

I bought this because i have a long hair cat, and due to my allergies that i developed over the years i try to maintain her coat. a few months ago i cut it with scissors and it worked but it was rather difficult, i then tried an electric razor and she freaked out! so when i found this product i figured i would give it a shot. well she didn't freak out, and i knew it wasn't going to be a swift process, but it took a lot longer than i would have hoped and she pretty much grew impatient and once she started to struggle to get away it became difficult since the razor has to be at the right angle in order to cut. The handle also broke but i do believe that was due to her struggling and me getting to much of her fur at once. So the product worked, but not quite what i was looking for

I bought this for getting knots out my Bichon's fur on her tummy. The razors that came with the comb were very dull so I had to buy different razors and the comb worked great. It takes a little bit to get used to holding the comb at the right angle, but once I figured out it made it easier to get the knots out.

This trimmer is $7.50 and pretty flimsy plastic. I got it promptly and tried it out on my Cocker Spaniel. It is really not effective as it hardly cuts any hair. There are two more blades from china in the pack. I am going to get some good razor blades and see if that helps. It just uses regular double edge blades. I scissor groom my two Cockers and was hopeful that this would be useful....it's not. It also pulls the hair so Sambo was not at all impressed.

This Pet Dog Cat Hair Trimmer with Comb + 2 Razors is probably very good for short hair dogs. We have a long-haired Great Pyrenees, and this comb unfortunately just doesn't do the job. Maybe I'm just not holding it correctly, but it doesn't do much trimming at all. I wish it did, because the idea is awesome!

I have an Australian Shepard and it works great to de- matte him! He doesn't mind it on his hair at all!

I have small dogs - thier hair grows thick in winter - I imagine this is probably the wrong one to buy for this type of dog

Item is cheap plastic that should be worth 50 cents at a garage sale. One half is the comb, the other part is razer. It is very flimsy. It did break in the middle where I was holding it during my first use but the razer part itself continued to work really well. A lot of people complain they can't get a razer like this to work. It's because they need to do a 90 degree angle instead of a 45 degree angle! Once you have the technique down you will be manually cutting as much as you want off with no resistance from your dog!Durable "Hair Shapers" are better-- spend your money on those.
