Handle is twist-lock
NOTE: the handle is of the "twist-lock" variety, so it stays where you put it and can be loosened to collapse or extend freely. From other comments it seems like folks have been confused about that and there's no mention of it in the packaging or on the product.Good value. Quality is good enough. Any net like this is going to be a bit delicate, you can't be swinging around a piece of cast iron to catch a moth, so don't sit on it :)Bigger than I thought. I use it to catch pantry moths, so a bit bigger than I strictly need but works great. The net is nice and deep so whatever you capture is less likely to escape once in the bottom of the net. Also the mesh is fine so captures even small moths, something that was a problem with the "child-sized" nets I tried first. Those were good enough for the job quality wise but pantry moths would just fly right out through the larger mesh.I would do it again, although for my personal purposes I'd probably look for something a little smaller.

Great value!
Sturdy, telescoping, cheap, since it telescopes its compact to store when not in use. I use this to catch carpenter bees (they eat / live in my fascia boards on porch) and it works amazing, they never see me coming!

Convenient Extension, Small Diameter, NOT for Fishponds
Wish I'd paid more attention to the net diameter when ordering. It comes in a small package and seems to be flimsy, but is actually quite useful, especially the extension feature. I use it for catching birds that get into our house or garage, thus a larger net would be a bit better (and perhaps for large insects such as moths or butterflies). It is NOT strong enough to net fish in a pond, unless the fish is under about 3" and pretty slow. (The long insect-weave net makes use in water difficult, and fast motion in water would probably bend the handle.)

Great for bats
The house was full of bats. My wife screamed in terror ever time she saw one. Aside from knocking the TV down and breaking some nic nacs. This net worked Great!!! Easy and made for a lot of fun on a Thursday night.

Catching carpenter bees
We use it to catch and kill the carpenter bees that have drilled holes into our house. Works great. It arrived today and we have killed 4 already. Sometimes best to wait until the bees start fighting each other and you can catch two at once.

Looks ideal for low-flying bats
This seems like a good, sturdy net. I occasionally get bats flying through the house, and guiding them outside with a broom takes forever. Haven't used this yet, and the handle isn't very long, but I've got high hopes and low ceilings.

Kind of working but not sturdy
The ring is not a single solid piece but is made up of three sections forming a circular shape for the net, which compromises its stability. Additionally, the connection between the ring and the pole is secured by only one rivet, which wobbles during use.

Best way to humanely remove unwanted flying things
Bought it to catch & release flying things that get stuck inside. Used it within hours of purchase - worked like a charm!
