Easy to install, very legible documents
Works wonderfully. Fast scanning. Very legible documents. Extremely easy to install software. Intuitive to use. Definitely portable. Only concern is not with product, but Amazon shipping. Always request electronics be “hidden” or packed in another Amazon box to give the item some protection. This came in a mailer envelope with another product that had a totally crushed box (thankfully item was a rubber item) and this, which had a crimped end. Wasn’t optimistic it would be ok when used.

Economical, easy to install scanner
The reviews for this scanner were so accurate! I followed the instructions, downloaded the software, plugged in the scanner through the USB cord provided, and was scanning in under 10 minutes! It's such a space-saver too. I almost splurged on a multi-page feed scanner that would cost over $200 and take up limited home office desk space. I'm so glad I didn't. Although this scanner isn't a multi-page feed, it scans one page so quickly that it doesn't matter. It's perfect for home and my work-at-home office days! Love it!

I would ignore the negative reviews…
I love this scanner! I don’t really get the negative reviews. For the price and the functionality you get, it’s amazing.I’m the type of person who does tons of research before I buy most anything. This includes scanners like this. I was fairly hesitant due to some negative reviews, but I decided to take a chance because I really loved how small, compact and minimalistic this was. I am so happy with my purchase.I have a Mac and setup was a breeze. The minimalist design and the tiny footprint is exactly what I was looking forYou don’t have to pay for any additional software for it to function (but I do think you have to download their app, which is free… I don’t know if this is an absolute requirement to use the scanner, but I installed their app because it comes with great feature that make it extremely easy to manage scans and save them. I actually love the features that it provides at no cost so I would recommend downloading it… again, it’s FREE)It just does what it’s supposed to do. One thing to notice is that due to its minimal size if you’re a bit of a perfectionist OCD person like myself you have to be a little more careful about how you load each page to ensure the scans are fed evenly. I assume this is an issue with any scanner but even moreso with something that’s as compact as this and doesn’t have the guides to ensure precise feeding. If you’re looking for a compact scanner, that is efficient, effective and easy to use, I would absolutely recommend this.

Mac Compatible, doesn't appear to scan straight
I purchased this because I desperately needed a new printer to print something, and the only one available was a wireless printers/scanner that *only* lets you scan through their app if you have an account - really sending up red flags for me if one were scanning sensitive documents! So I splurged and got this as well. Is it small and portable? Yes. Did it work easily with my macbook pro? Also yes.My main problem is nothing scans it straight. It's great if you're wanted to make sure you have copies of mail or receipts (I suggest tapping to an 8.5x11 regular sheet of paper), but if you want an aligned document without a small black line on the top left edge of the paper? Not your device. Yes you can crop, but it never quite looks right.Anyway. It's a decent little device and does what I need for record keeping! Just not perfect with the alignment. One other note: I scanned a document I had printed that I needed to sign, and wanted a copy of said signature on this document. The whole thing is just...not the greatest quality? Looks kind of dated. Can't really explain it. Really picked up the ink details which I guess is good, but visually looked low quality.Buy if: You want something easy that gives you a bunch of options to upload to computer, onedrive, email, etc. Also great for record keeping that doesn't really need perfection at the end of the day. Also allows for cropping and adjustments in the software.Don't buy if: You desire straight, 8.5x11 documents. She doesn't play that way!

BUY IT!
I absolutely LOVE this scanner. I am a sole practitioner who doesn’t deal with a ton of paperwork but needed access to scanning 8-10 documents a week. It was so simple to set up to my computer. It’s light weight, fast scanning, quite noise, image quality is good for documents (I haven’t tried pictures), and love the ability to save the document to my computer in multiple ways (direct to email, save to computer etc). I am so happy with this purchase! As long as you’re not needing to scan 100+ papers a day, you’ll be completely fine!

Not so durable for travel or plug and go
I've only used 3 times a month, on average, since I got it, to scan in bills and such. I take it out of it's box, plug it into my computer, do my scanning. Unplug it, and put it back in it's box. It's supposed to be able to take this because it's a portable unit. However, today it just stopped working because the area where you put in the plug came loose and so you plug it in, the light goes on, then dims and the unit doesn't work.

So Glad I Bought This!
I still own an Epson printer/scanner that is likely over 20 years old and continues to function reliably. However, due to the scanner’s slow performance and outdated software, an upgrade became necessary. This new portable scanner, which connects effortlessly to my laptop, has been a game changer. It allows me to scan documents within seconds and significantly streamlines the process of organizing my files
