Great painter; wonderful reproductions
As a student I really benefitted from Camp's books "Paint" and "Draw"-- and I highly recommend them. They aren't really "how-to" books; they're just these beautiful explorations of drawing and painting as means of expression and craft. I found them very liberating and I really liked his art as well as the work by his students and contemporaries. "Almanac" is a large collection of his drawings and paintings and although my own efforts are quite unlike his, I do find the book a wonder -- and an inspiration to make beautiful art. I was lucky to find it used on amazon.
