I had a bracelet assist tool in the past, but misplaced it during my last move. Such a simple thing, but without it I find putting on bracelets maddening -- I've even been late getting places just because I couldn't get my bracelets closed! I mostly go without wearing any. I've been stubborn about purchasing a new one because my original one was ornate and I kept hoping I'd find it, or if I replaced it I wanted one just like it. Yesterday I was browsing and started looking at what they had. Most of them were really thin, thinner than a pen, which I felt would be harder to get a grip on. This one appeared nice and solid, albeit plain, and the price was more than reasonable, so I gave in and bought it. It does the job just like my old one. It's just not fancy. So I'll keep it in my jewelry case with my bracelets and not lose it like I lost the other one. I really shouldn't say it's not "gift-worthy" -- you can gift me practical gifts anytime. I guess if the gift is a special occasion, make this "Gift #1" and a nice bracelet "Gift #2"!

Ordered a two-pack. Received only one. Amazon corrected the problem. A good helper for bracelet clasps.

I’ve always struggled with bracelet clasps. For this cheap price, I should have bought one years ago. Works exactly like you think it would. My husband is happy too. He was the one who always had to help me with my bracelets.

My husband bought me a beautiful amethyst bracelet for Valentine's Day. The only problem was that the lobster claw clasp was on it backwards (if that makes sense) so I had a hard time putting it on. This tool works great!!

First, I take full responsibility for this disaster purchase because I should have examined the photographs more closely and read more reviews.Second, let me describe to you what this is.Think of the big fat pencil you had to use when you were in kindergarten. Ok now, slice off the pencil point. Now get an alligator clip and a hammer. Start hammering the alligator clip into the child size pencil. Now, like magic you have a Bracelet Mate!Third, this is unusable, the teeth are so sharp and the grip is so tight. I tested this on my finger before using on jewelry AND NO WAY would I ever use this on even the cheapest piece of jewelry. The clamp is wayyyyyy tooooo tight. It would definitely bend or break a piece of jewelry.I threw it in the garbage, not with the hassle of returning.Long story short, DO NOT BUY, you’ve been warned!!!
