Works wonderfully in Hawaii All Day Activities!
Used this in Hawaii and this freckled white girl didn't get sunburned at all. Feels a little greasy when I get into the water but at least I know both the reef and I are protected. Wore it all day at the beach, reapplied once. No burn. Did a six hour excursion of thr Na Pali coast on Kauai. A speed raft on the ocean pretty much the whole time. I reapplied once. No burns. A different day at the beach, we used a different brand of reef friendly sunscreen and we fried. Switching back to this and nothing else!!

Finally a sunscreen that does what it says it does!
I'm in the water 4-5 days a week for 3-4 hours a day, and have tried so many sunscreens looking for one that doesn't sting my eyes, doesn't wash off easily, and doesn't make me look like I'm wearing white clown makeup when heading out. TropicSport Mineral Sunscreen is the first to meet all three criteria, and I couldn't be happier to have found it after 5+ years of trying I don't know how many other brands, and promises. The only thing I have to remember, is to reapply after I come out of the water and towel off, as it does come off rather easily when wet, and wiped with a cloth or paper towel. I also have to be careful not to wipe my face with my hands too much when out in the water, as it will wipe some of it off each time I do so, and if done too many times, will start to limit the amount of protection (can't protect if it's no longer on in certain places).Highly recommend, and will definitely buy again for sure.

Like the product…packing sucks
I chose this product bc I wanted to reduce the amount of add’l ingredients / chemicals & to be reef safe. Lifeguards have been using zinc oxide forever, it’s great protection. Yes, zinc leaves a white film after applying but I find it dissipates within about 20 minutes or so. The thicker you apply the longer it will take. IMO, you don’t need it too thick, a smaller amount goes a long way. I also do NOT rub it in to alleviate the whiteness, you want it to do that on its own, rubbing it in will just lessen your protection.I apply my moisturizer first, then the zinc so i find that helps with the application of it. The good thing about it being white is while applying it you can easily see areas you may have missed, unlike especially sprays. Do I care about the white ? No !! I grew up in the 60’s where we applied baby oil, cocoa butter & even sat on the beach with a foil lined piece of cardboard to better absorb the sun rays to get that great Southern California tan !! Yeah, I looked great…fast forward many years & here comes the skin cancer !! Had 3 rounds on my face. My dad and brother-in-law both had BIG chunks of their ears removed due to skin cancer. I’ll take the white any day over going thru that again. If I’m at home, I could care less about the white film. If I’m going to work or shopping, by the time I’ve gotten dressed, applied makeup & have done my hair, the white is blended in. If I’m at the beach WHO CARES if you’re a little white. Isn’t the point of sun block to block the rays & prevent sunburn & ultimately skin cancer ? The zinc is such a better barrier between you & the sun. I’m not at the beach for a fashion show.I can't really vouch for how well or how long it protects at the beach if you are laying directly in the sun or out in the water for hours at a time because I would NEVER lay out & bake in the sun like I did as a teenager. It escapes me that people still do that knowing full well the damage that will occur. If you do that, I would recommend like all other sunblocks, apply fairly frequently. For the times I am in the sun with regular daily activities, it is protecting me just fine. The packaging ? Seriously needs a redesign. The container is not that flexible like a tube and there is a small…SMALL…opening at the bottom to dispense the product. Comes out VERY slowly due to the viscosity of the zinc and with such a small opening you really have to squeeze it. I’m pretty sure a lot will be wasted in the container towards the end because you just won’t be able to squeeze it hard enough to get it to come out. Other than that, I like the product but I would not purchase again due to this design.

I didn't even burn in Aruba!
I was looking for a sunscreen to use in Aruba that would help block those rays a bit - because I totally love to be tan, but burnt, not so much. The resort advertises a little 2oz deal they sell for as much as this 6.5oz bottle (I think that's the size it is- can't remember for sure) sells for that is good for the coral reef and won't harm the environment. It only makes sense to get the bigger one and just toss it in the checked luggage. I was hoping for the best because by the time it hit mid-Oct, my summer base tan was all but gone. We spent a full week in Aruba, out in the sun almost all day, every day, and I didn't burn even once! I was soooo happy with this sunscreen. It did so much better than I ever imagined. It doesn't make you greasy. It has no funny odor. It just works. And works great. Definitely a worthwhile purchase for some stellar sunscreen that holds up against water, sweat, sand...everything!

Best sunscreen ever!
Please do not hesitate to purchase this sunscreen! It ticks all of the boxes for me and I am so glad that I decided to give it a try. It is cruelty free, one of my requirements for any product the I use! It is reef safe and does not contain any chemicals with may cause cancer. I purchased it for a trip to the Outer Banks of North Carolina and even after spending hours in the sun on the beach none of my family members who used this product had any sunburn. It rubs in so well and we had no issues with any whiteness left on our skin. Please give it a try, I am a customer now for life!

Does NOT protect for 4 hours!! 80 Minutes MAX in the water
This product is fine. The fact that it is reef friendly, less toxic than some sunscreens is very nice. It goes on white but it does fade in relatively quickly compared to other products. Great if you will be using in/around reefs. A little goes a long way, so the value I think is good, too. HOWEVER - it absolutely DOES NOT protect for more than about 80 minutes in the water. We put it on correctly on 3 of our boys, soaked in and then they hit the pool and surf rider at our resort in Mexico for about 3 hours. They got totally burned up. I felt so bad because we trusted this to last. Wish I had run back and gotten the spray stuff as our re-apply. I will use this for our base stuff at the beginning of the day, and then use the spray on their backs, shoulders and reapply a different face stick for long outings, especially in the water. It's not a bad product, but the extended time tests were not tested out in the Mexican sun! Maybe Australia has an area like New England it would work that long on, lol.
