Mantova Cara Mamma All-Natural Potato Gnocchi with Basil - 6 ct. 1 lb. Packages - Non-GMO

When I lived in Italy, fresh gnocchi were available at the ubiquitous local pasta shops. After returning to the US, for a time, Costco carried a very good brand of fresh Italian gnocchi, but apparently there was not enough demand and they discontinued carrying the product. I've tried numerous US-made and imported brands. I like this brand a great deal. Considering that the price includes free delivery, I feel that it is very good value for an excellent product. I went through a six-pack of the regular potato version of this product and loved it, and bought the basil-flavored version just to try something different. I like this product a great deal as well. These are a great alternative to baked or boiled potatoes, cook very quickly, work well with a variety of sauces, and reheat well. The biggest trick to reheating them, something I do in a microwave, is to add a small amount of the cooking water to the container when you store them, and then reheat in a covered container so that they steam. If you tossed the cooking water, then just regular tap water will do the trick as well.

Too much basil, could hardly stand to eat it!

So we have had this a couple different ways so far and it just hasn't gone over well. That could just be our taste buds though. I'm hoping that I can add the rest to soup to use it up. The delivery was prompt. Good packaging. Well priced. Just not for us.

I'm really disappointed these are out of stock right now, I'm probably going to start ordering these to replace the normal gnocci I used to buy at the grocery once the emergency situated gets ironed out. The basil smell is strong when you open the package but once they're cooked, it mellows out a bit and tastes wonderful!

So great I ordered it a second time! These are delicious and smell like wonderful basil. Pairs extremely well with a tomato basil sauce. And at only $3 per pack including tax and door delivery, an awesome value.The dates on my packages were for 8 months out as well.

These are AWESOME! The flavor is unbelievable! We've eaten them with Alfredo sauce or just olive oil and garlic. So easy to store, tasty, and quick to make.

It could have more basil flavor but it is quite good for the money. We supplant it with fresh basil and a cream sauce and is very good.
