Belkin CoolSpot Laptop Cooling Pad (White)

Is the BEST. I tried several and none worked as well as this. Really keeps the lap top very cool.

This is my first laptop cooler and it seems quite effective. My HP Pavilion dv7 with Core i7 processor pumps quite a bit of heat out the side so I picked up this cooler. Just based on what I feel coming out of the side vent of the PC, this is making a difference. The updraft design makes sense as it feeds air into the bottom intakes of the case.Being my first such device, I don't know if the USB power source is typical. Luckily, I had an available port since almost all of my peripherals are on a hub just to keep the wires away. The cord stows nicely into the bottom.My gripe is the rattly noise of the fan. It's not really loud but pulses. Just unplugged it and what a relief! I think I'll reserve use of the cooler for when intense Photoshop processing cranks up the CPUs. When I hear the internal fan ramp up I'll plug this in.UPDATE: 1/26/2011Due to the noise, I've stopped using this product. It just does not cool enough to put up with the racket.

Perfect one. Laptop just stick to this pad and this is what I was looking for long. Obviously, belkin brand name makes a lots of differnce.

I just received my cooling pad and i'm actually using it right now as I type up this review.I love it, it has a very clean look and it's a lot smaller than I expected. It doesn't make much noise just a low humming noise, way better than the Targus cooling pad I had before this one that had 2 fans and cost me about 80 dollars.... This one on the other hand has kept my laptop running cool and there is a little warmth around my palm rest (bottom of the laptop) but I don't mind I don't think this was made for computers as large as mine, but it fits it beautifully just not like the actual picture.I suggest you buy it because it's cheap and you don't have to worry about all the extra wires =] enjoy. And it's great for using on your lap.

I have an hp laptop and They really get hot and the belkin looks good BUT does not cool the laptop at all and when ever I rest my hand on the laptop to type the fan use to touch the plastic trim and make noise so I was wondering if they belkin want us to hover our hands in the air an then type on the laptop keyboardI would not suggest this product if you really want to cool your laptop I returned this product

Noisier than I expected and doesn't cool as well I as hoped. Will probably keep looking for something better.

This is an excellent peice of kit. It cools even the hottest laptops, especially if the intake fan is under the laptop. Laptops larger than it's size are not a problem.The only problem with them is that if you accidentally catch a blade with something, such as a cloth whilst wiping the surface, the blade can snap easily, resulting in reduced cooling and noisier operation.

nice product unfortunately little small for my laptop
