MAONO AU-A04 Condenser Microphone Kit (Black)

I bought the Maono AU-404 Condenser Microphone Kit as I needed a professional Microphone Kit to record my Youtube and Video blogs that I publish in my aspiration to be a Influencer. I needed high quality recording equipment but also something that would fit in my budget. I researched quite a bit and was also advised by my cousin abroad as they had also used Maono audio products. I'm thrilled that I shortlisted and purchased this model. I have been using this for around a week now and below are my observations about it. ● The Maono AU-404 condenser Microphone Kit came in a professional box with Foam Block cut-out packed contents, including the Condenser Mike, the adjustable arms stand, the metal shock mount, pop filter, foam mic windscreen, table mounting clamp, USB-B to USB A cable and a detailed descriptive manual. All the required parts to set up the unit. ● Installation took 10 minutes on my workstation. Just followed the instructions in the manual and the diagram on the back of the box and it was really simple. Assemble from the base Clamp on the table upwards and its quite intuitive. ● Once installed the Microphone kit does not move. It is rock steady and the positioning can only be changed after un-screwing the 5 plastic screw tops which hold and adjust the angles of all the joints. ● Another observation that I had was that the microphone and all the parts are heavy and rugged also. This is not just a light weight local equipment put together. All the parts are polished, premium and sufficiently heavy. This translates into quality parts for a relative layperson like me. Very impressive both to use and to look at. My workstation is almost a show-area now. ● The Microphone Kit once assembled is Plug-n-Play. There was no configuring required. The native application on my Mac book pro and my recording software both automatically recognized it as an external microphone and after plugging it into the USB port, I could directly start recording audio on my system. This was the part I was nervous about as I can use the applications and systems but I'm not good with configuring settings and installing drivers etc., but I didn't face any problems in use so am glad I went with this model. ● The internal sound chipset is quite professional and the high resolution sampling rate ensures that the audio quality being recorded is crystal clear and crisp. There are no disturbance, distortion or variance in the recording. The pop filter and the foam mic windscreen ensures that no hissing sound or wind noise from the mouth get recorded during voice-overs or even while singing. My kids tried singing karaoke on it as they were quite excited with it and the results were quite good. Overall, A very satisfying purchase for me. Looks, installation and usage are off the charts for me. The functionality and quality provided by this product, whether I'm using it for personal Karaoke recordings with my kids to share with family or when I'm recording my You-Tube or video blog,s are of top-notch quality and make this a must have kit, both if you're a professional or hobbyist.

This is my first mic and I'm a beginner so my review may not be as technical as some experts. The mic has been working fine for me for over a month now and here's the list of things you should know about the product. 1) Build quality is great for the 2)The stand on which the mic rests moves to much. So you need to be careful while recording. 3) Sound quality is good for the price. You may get distortion if you get too close and if you turn the gain down to record. The voice recorded will be too base heavy. 4) Works with smartphones and laptops. 5) Pop filter provided does not reduce that much sudden air blows. But still good for what you pay. 6)The raw sound is not that much good. So you need a bit of tweaking in audio editing softwares. Overall, if you get this one for around Rs. 3000-4000, then its a great microphone. Above that, it isn't as appealing as you can get some pretty awesome mics like Samson's etc. So tight budget ones, go for it!

I did a lot of research before going for this and now I am proud of myself for choosing this. I am 100% satisfied with the product. the mic is a complete set which is the only thing that you need for a professional recording. this is a plug and play mic which means all you need to do is to connect it in the USB port of your desktop or laptop. Don't have a pc? no problem, you can connect this thing to a mobile phone using a OTG adapter. the Realtek adapter that this mic has is a great boon as you don't need to download any additional software or any drivers. so, what are all the things that comes with the mic mic capsule shock mount pop filter wind foam boom arm table attachment USB cables cables managers(x2) booklets overall, this is a complete package which can be used for a lot of purposes which includes gaming, YouTube videos, singing, content creation, video calls, podcast, video voice over, etc.... almost all the parts are made out of solid metal and it really gives you an amazing premium feel when you touch it. the microphone is completely built out of metal and will give you an amazing solid feel if you held it in your hand. the microphone has a cardioid pattern which means it only takes the sound form your side and won't take any other unnecessary noise from the outside which is not in the range of the mic I live near a busy road and this mic works great by not picking up any unnecessary noise from the road. so, an important aspect of any sound product is the sound quality. well in that case the mic has an amazing audio quality. the vocals are crisp and clear. the included pop filter and the wind foam helps with the distortion. the shock mount really works well. you won't' get any disturbances even if you touched your mic while recording. over all this is a bang for a buck. worth every penny. better than a lot of other microphones within the same range. and even better when compared to a lot of costly mics out there. this is definitely worth considering. Amazing amazing mic. Bought this 5 years ago and it's still going strong. I have recorded multiple songs on this and released on spotify and no one could tell that it's a podcasting mic. It's all about good mixing. The stand and pop filter are also of amazing quality. This mic is too good to be true. Go for it if you are looking for something really good at a cheap price.

I have been using this microphone for a while now, and overall, I would say the experience has been inconsistent. At times, the sound quality is decent, but it frequently fluctuates — the volume randomly goes low and then high again without any clear reason. This makes it unreliable, especially during important recordings or online meetings. Another major issue is the echo that occasionally appears. It becomes distracting and affects the clarity of communication. The overall sound clarity is not up to the mark, which can be frustrating if you're aiming for professional-quality output. In short, this mic might work for very casual use, but if you're looking for consistent performance and clear audio, I would not recommend this model.

Good product but can be improved

Nice and premium feel with this price range, i have been using it for 3 months The sound quality is amazing i do voice over with this mic on my channel ‘TechAbuzar’ you can check my some recent videos. The best thing is that it has amazing noise cancellation and better performance this product is very helpful for beginners, so easy to use just plug into your PC and record via any audio recorder You can use it for Dub your short films , you can make voice over videos, you can do podcast very easily and much more with this product.

Maono AU-A04 is a good mic to start with, if you are looking for a good mic with a low budget then this is one of the best to go with. My Mic all of a sudden stopped working after 2 months, I raised an issue with the Maono support, we tried to resolve the issue but it didn't worked for us, so they are issuing a refund to me. There customer support team is really super helpful, they go up and down to help you out.
