M-1 Carbine Bolt Disassembly Tool

I purchased this after obtaining a '43 vintage M1 Carbine. I used the tool once while cleaning the bolt after receiving the Carbine. Noted that the angle of the screw was slightly off but I was able to remove the ejector clean the components and reassemble the bolt. After obtaining new springs I had replaced them and was reassembling the bolt when the "split" prong broke. Fortunately I was able to obtain a WWII vintage tool (came covered on old, hardened cosmoline, so much fun to remove) as a replacement.

I needed this tool after trying to reassemble the bolt with out it. Lost the ejector is plunger and spring. Got a new plunger and spring, along with this tool install was a million times easier.

Indeed a great tool but doesn't come with instructions for use. The buyer is directed to web site for directions. The website instructions are good but rather inconvenient to provide a place on a workbench. Would a piece of paper showing manipulation of tool be that expensive to provide? All in all an indispensable tool that works as described.

Got here in a hurry. Was told it was used and a bit worn or rusty. But its like brand new!!!! Zero wear or rust that i can see.

removal and replacement of the firing pin and extractor are quick and easy.

Made disassembly a breeze. Needed to replace springs on my ejector and extractor. Would have been a huge pain without this tool.

I could NOT imagine trying to clean/respring an M1/M2 bolt without this tool.100% awesome.

obviously after market manufacturing - not fully original fit but did work okay, got the job done.
