Praise 2

Yes!!! Finally, The original Maranatha! Praise 2 released on CD. Not that the remade version is bad. It is just nice to hear the original version again. I like the orchestration on this album and it was a step up from "The Praise Album" released two years earlier, which used less instruments. This album brings back memories and these songs were used at camp meetings and youth groups all over. It is rather refreshing to hear this music in its simplicity compared to the more sophisticated modern worship of today. If you want step back in time to hear what praise music sounded like in the 1970's this is a good place to start.

I'm not sure what a fair review is because This doesn't sound like the original recording from the 70s. Same thing for Praise 1 that I ordered. The instrumentation sounds different. I called Maranatha in Orange County and they couldn't give me an answer as to whether this was a remake. I found Praise 4 on ITunes and it is the original and I bought it. I lived in SanDiwgo in the 70s and these Maranatha praise albums were used by me and my roommates as well as our church, and in moving back to Texas I lost them. The young man I spoke with at Maranatha probably wasn't born when these early Praise albums came out so he had no personal knowledge of them and I was Baby Christian back in that day and I suppose 40 years changes things a lot. I still don't think the re-released early praise albums are the original. Same songs but not the original.

Very good to study or relax

Great Christian music and worth the cash. If you like the older songs of the late 60 and early 70s this is a nice album.

Good condition exactly like the album it brought back a lot of memories. Sound was awesome. Quality was well done.

I love all these familiar hymns - it was wonderful listening to them again. I have five of the praise CD's and I will purchase more
