SkywalkerModular Surface Mount Phone Jack (White)

Our house was built in 1980 and the jack that was there was probably original. I had asked the community if the cover of this one would fit an old jack, and some said yes and some said no. So it depends on how old is old in your case. For ours, it was off by a teeny bit, smaller I believe, so my husband rewired the old cord into this new jack, no problem. We just got new baseboards and new white wall paint, so this white jack is a big improvement over the old yellowed one. Even though we don’t use the landline, you never know.

I live in a very old house with original land line, you can’t find this type of fixtures at Home Depot. Got this within a couple of days and installed within a few minutes.

Works for telephone. However the internal wires are very thin and one wire broke from the terminal.

This is a replica of a vintage Bell-type baseboard phone jack. Can be used with old twisted pair up to CAT-5 cable simply by attaching to the 4 screw terminals for tip and ring, colors red, green, black and yellow, etc. It terminates with the standard RJ-11 style jack. The issue I had is the RJ-11 jack is such poor quality that the pins don't make contact with the phone cord. The phone cord actually moves in and out about 3 millimeters. My phone fits tightly into other phone jacks so it's not my cord. So to sum it up if no electrical contact then the phone doesn't work so this is worthless. It is way overpriced. Big box stores and mom and pop hardware stores have better quality for about the same price. It's a piece of junk. Don't buy.

This is the exact phone jack I needed, my old one fell apart when I removed it from baseboard for new flooring, I could not find one anywhere, none at Walmart, hardware store, and since no radio shack, I was tired of running around, this was easier, cheaper, and came right to my home.
