I was looking on the Amazon to find a solution to my Sony A7R2 camera to complete the grip when taking pictures or videos. Without the grip, ,my pinky hangs at the bottom of the camera. making it look awkward when shooting in a professional (advance beginner) settings. I tried to use a battery grip, it did help it a bit but it added a good amount of weight to the camera as well as to the physical size to it. The battery grip made the camera difficult to store in the bag. Not the best option for me. Also the battery grip is expensive that I could buy a basic lens.When I tried Wepoto Camera Grip, It did solve the problem of holding the Sony A7R2. Another advantage that I see on this camera grip is the Heat Dissipation of the Camera. When I use my camera to record 4K video, the camera could not sustain continuous recording without over heating. Over heating can damage you camera sensor and eventually damage the whole camera to the point that it is irreparable. Not good for a $2,100 camera body. I limit my recording to 10mins-15mins only. Not good to make the client wait for the camera to cool down. Time is money. But after using this, I realized that the Sony A7R2 does not overheat at all!. The aluminum construction of the grip heat eliminate internal heat in the camera. No warning of overheating nor shutting down of the camera in the middle of the shoot. This has awesome features. This is a small investment to save your camera. I highly recommend this product you everyone. Do not wait for your camera to malfunction because of overheating. My previous review stated that this grip did not fit because it had two pins not one. Turns out one of the pins is spring loaded but it was stuck/jammed. As soon as I pressed on it pretty hard with a tool it popped free and then depressed cleanly to allow it to fit into the a7Riii. Comfortable feel getting the pinky back on the grip. It’s actually wood too. Thought it was gonna be fake. The grip has a an integrated tripod mount for a more “universal” tripod.
