Manduka eKO 3mm Yoga Mat

Contrary to the opinion of others, the thinness of this mat works just right and that the mat is not sticky is so not true. In fact it has so much grip that I've never slipped once in my yoga practice for almost a month now.However, the rants on it having a rubbery smell is true. But I noticed that, after rubbing in a damp cloth, the smell lessened as well as by constant use.Moreover, although the mat is claimed as thin, it weighs heavier than expected.All in all, I'm happy to have purchased it.

I've had this mat for months... close to a year and it still smells like chemicals! I thought the smell would mellow out, but for an "eco-friendly" product this shouldn't have been an issue in the first place. It is also the most slippery mat I have owned, which I would be willing to trade for it's natural construction if it weren't for the odor.

I could not be happier with my purchase. It has a rubber funk to it but I am sure it will fade. Based against the downright quality and non slip of this mat I would be ok with the funk if it stayed. The seaweed pattern across the top of the mat is beautiful and relaxing. Further more the companies logo is a frog, just makes me smile :) If you are looking for a great mat look no further

I originally purchased a cheaper mat and discovered that all yoga mats are not created equal. The cheap mat rolled up with every movement I made, resulting in me fighting with it the entire class vs me really enjoying the flow. I finally caved and spent the extra money on a Manduka (the eKO) and it's a world of a difference. It stays put, while not being slippery - I move, not the mat (the way it should be!).The only cons I noticed are the distinct natural rubber odor (which the packaging clearly recognizes and says will dissipate over time). I would note that it is definitely not as 'stinky' as synthetic rubber options out there. The other slight con would be that the padding is not very thick, which I don't mind but it's a personal preference.Overall a great purchase, one I should have made from the beginning.

I am a huge fan of the Manduka Black Pro and the Pro Lite, but this one was awful. Yes, it was very light for travel, but it buckled under my feet during practice and it moved around. I gave it away.

Super disappointed with this mat. The quality seems high and the design is nice, but if you sweat at all I would avoid this mat. I tend to do Vinyasa classes and once I start to get warmed up I slowly start to slide all over the place. I can not use this mat at all, unless maybe for doing yin or restorative.
