This little unit is well made and does remove humidity from the environment it is placed in.That being said, let's get down to the 3 star review I gave, instead of 4 or 5.It's SLOW! - Very slow.The humidity level in the air was about 80% the last few days (when it arrived and I set it up) and in 4 days the little units collection case/box/cup filled about an inch high (about a quarter of the way.) Maybe a cup of water {I didn't measure it.}In the same amount of time, in the same area, my old dehumidifier had to be emptied twice (about 2 gallons each time.) That's a BIG difference! Granted, my other unit is about 4 times bigger, so I wouldn't have expected gallons out of this one - but I was expecting about one full tank in 4 days.Peoples reviews of noisy I don't understand. It has a fan, so it has to make some sound. {You should hear my old one - that makes noise !} I suppose if you are using it in an RV or camper you are very close to the unit & maybe it's not level?My biggest concern is that the thing works with a transformer & that transformer got VERY HOT. It looks kinda like a laptop computer charger/transformer, but my laptop one never got this hot.Bottom line; it works, it's quiet, it's small, I won't return it - I wouldn't buy one again.

I like the compact size and the simple clean design and it seems pretty quiet to me. It does seem to take a long time to collect water [I read that in another review as well]. What I don't like [and I may return it] is there is no way to adjust the humidity level. Our old one had adjustable settings where you could set it to stop at a specific humidity level. The Instruction manual says to "Set the humidity at least 5% lower than environmental humidity" but all of the answers to questions for this humidifier say that this unit does not include that adjustment feature. My questions to the seller are - 1: can I adjust the humidity level? 2: If not, what humidity level is this set to?

We bought two of yhese units. The transformer plug burnt out on one and stop working after two hours. The other unit is working without any problems now for several weeks. The company refuned our purchase price and paid for return postage on the defective unit. I really like the unit that works.

We have enjoyed this dehumidifier. We bought it for our home. It is a great size that isn’t super bulky or annoying, and it is relatively quiet. We first used it in a room that just had the carpet shampooed. It helped it dry in no time!

I bought this for my small hobby greenhouse sized 8' X 6' to keep the mold down. There is no adjustment for the humidity and as far as I can tell it never shuts off. I was in the greenhouse the other day and it said 39% and was still running. I also connected the drain line and ran it outside but the reservoir is still filling up.I wish Amazon still had the Ivation IVADM45. I ran that one for 4 years before it died and it had a variable humidity setting.On a positive note it is lowering the humidity in the greenhouse.

It definitely works, but don't expect it to fully remove moisture from a one-bedroom apartment. Maybe 2 units would work better...

Great product, moves air but really for a small space like a locker or a closet.
