The tablet is good, light, but be wary of the free data
The tablet is good, light, responsive, charges quickly, holds charge well, decent sound quality. This is a good tablet (WiFi+GSM). That is why I am giving it 3 stars. It may have gotten 4 from me if this had not happened (I am pasting from a previous comment I made):============The device would activate but the 200 MB data would not kick in. This promotional offer is under the pre-paid department. When you call T-Mobile (and you will), have the representative transfer over to the "pre-paid data activation department". Do not waste time with that representative. Tell them right away you want to be connected to pre-paid support. Only they (if anyone) can help you.T-mobile did acknowledge that my device was eligible for FREE 200 MB data for the LIFE of the device. Phew! I was relieved. But I spent 2 hours talking with 4 different reps. Each time, they would activate my device, ask me the IMEI and the SIM number (both zillion digits long), and assign a new account number. Each time it would register on the network just fine, but the free data would not kick in. They tested my device and IMEI number with an 1-hour data pass. It worked just fine. After all this, the 4th rep spoke to her supervisor, and for the inconvenience caused, gave me free 3GB data for 30-days, and they promised that they will figure out the problem and fix it in those 30-days. Let's wait and see.==============This is a good tablet. But if you are buying it for the free 200 MB for life, forget it. T-mobile customer care is very good, and they will take care of you, but the effort is not worth it, not for 200 MB. You will burn thru that data limit while watching 15 minutes of HD video on YouTube. If they offered free unlimited 2G data, that would be worth it: at least you could send an e-mail when on the road. But if you want a decent GSM tablet that is not too expensive and you are willing to spend $30 (3GB data) a month, go for this one.

Works as well as any Android 4.2.2 tablet the plus was the free T-Mobile 4G data
I have not been able to find a Bluetooth keyboard that works with this HP Slate 10 HD tablet. I have paired and connected 3 and none function with this tablet. All 3 functioned with my Android mobile phone. Aside from this glitch I do like the tablet. I especially like the free T-Mobile data account which I have used recently when out of Wi-Fi range. Also set up the Slate as a Wi-Fi hot spot without any issues. Biggest selling point for me was the free 4G data for the life of the tablet. I haven't found any other tablet manufacturer to offer free data. As for Beats Audio, the speakers are located on the bottom of the tablet and the sound quality is, well, adequate but I recommend 3.5 mm ear phone jack or Bluetooth paired with quality headphones or speakers. Happy with the SHOQBOX SB7200 Series Bluetooth speaker paired with the Slate 10. Streaming video is pretty good with Netflix however you cannot watch Prime instant video on the Slate since it is an Android device and it lacks the integrated app only found on the Kindle Fire. There is a workaround which I haven't done, yet. You pretty much have to have or should have a Google account to use this tablet and most any tablet really. This makes the initial set up much easier and most all of the primary Google apps are on the desktop. My cable TV provider offers a live TV Android app that works well on the Slate 10.Later, after writing this review I was able to watch Prime instant video on this Android tablet, the HP Slate 10 by doing the workaround.[...]I did find a bluetooth keybord that works with the HP Slate 10 HD,the Logitech Win8 and Android 3.0+ keyboard.http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B009JPBPWO/ref=oh_details_o00_s00_i00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 Not cheap but it works and non of the cheap ones did.

May not be all it claims or what you expect.
Been using this for 2 days now, so I'm still new although I have 4 other computers and an Android smartphone.First thing to realize is Android is to Google as Windows is to Microsoft. Hope you don't have a problem with that.I do have an issue with the touted "Free T-Mobile 4G". Be sure to read EVERYTHING on Amazon. The 'Free 4g' is LIMITED to 200Mb a Month (Yes, you can $uy more time if you want it). You are not going to be doing much if you only have 200 Mb free. Another issue is the Amazon webpage indicates this is for as long as you own the tablet ("for the life of your device") BUT HP information shipped with the tablet says the 'free 4G' is only for 2 years. You'll end up using this on Wi-Fi or your home wireless connection that has nothing to do with T-Mobile. I feel this is misleading advertising as people will expect to be streaming movies from Netflix for life. Not so... Not at 200Mb...It's awkward to hold and doesn't have a means to stand up. You lay it flat or you hold it. You can purchase items to do this plus fold over the Tablet to offer some protection. Have not tried it outside in sunlight yet.The Tablet on my home wireless router connection works great and the screen is nice and bright and colors look great. The large 10 inch screen is so much easier to see than my smartphone. You get a SIM card from T-Moble pre-installed.For now I'll assume my 'free 4G is for life' and deal with the 200Mb limitation. The description should read "with free 200Mb/Mo Max T-Mobile"I think I would have gone with a different tablet if I had known the above.

Enjoying my HP Slate 10 tablet
This tablet is pretty good and runs Andriod 4.2.2. Resolution is okay for streaming movies and viewing photos. Its really light in weight. I love the screen size on this tablet and I love that it comes with 4G Data option. It does have small lags sometimes when opening apps. But over all I'm enjoying my HP Slate tablet. I got it at a great price on Amazon.
