I was distraught when my oilskin apron that I had happily used for the last few years disappeared down the back of our kitchen units never to be seen again unless we took everything apart (don't ask, long story) and I knew that it would take a lot to find a replacement I was happy with as (a) I am a larger lady so need a larger apron, (b) it has to have an adjustable neck strap as I wear glasses and I find it very tedious constantly having to take my glasses off and on again when I am doing the dishes and (c) it has to be waterproof as I am extremely messy when it comes to water and I somehow end up with half of the bowl of washing up water over me when I do the dishes. Unfortunately, as I have a lot of requirements, it is obviously difficult to find something which matches everything I need, until I saw this apron. I have to confess that when I initially opened the package and saw how thin the apron was, I wasn't convinced it would be enough to keep me dry, but decided to give it a go. And I am so pleased I did as despite the apron being of very thin material, it is extremely waterproof and not only that covers my girth easily which is a bonus. There is a downside, however and that is the clip at the back which you use to keep the apron together. In short, I hate it. It is extremely fiddly and as I cannot do the apron up behind my back, I end up pulling the clip to one side to put it together so I can see what I am doing and as a result it means that the apron is baggy and doesn't fit as well as it should. It would have been so much easier if there were two ties at the back with the clip meeting in the middle - or even just two ties like you find on a normal apron. If it wasn't for that it would have been a 5 star review from me, but because of the issue with the clip, I have regretfully had to deduct a star.

I bought this apron to use when I'm cleaning round the house, especially the bathroom and dealing with bleach products, I've stained clothes before! This works very well. Is very waterproof. Love that it has plastic clips to do up. I do wish the neck bit was smaller though, it's quite long but doesn't effect the use

Hate to sound odd, but the way this fastens rather left-handedly- the clip is on the left hand side so , being stupidly right-handed, I find it s bit difficult. However , once it is on the apron is easily cleaned, large enough etc. I use it for craft activities mostly and am happy that it is longer than usual so it covers more of my clothing.

Good waterproof apron, is quite long good for a tall person though

This is perfect; it long covering right to my ankle of which I prefer most to avoid spillage on my trousers or skirt. Had wished to be double with a waterproof lining on top to avoid dripping like how I used to have back home. But one of the reviews suggests to wear a cloth pinny on top to absorb water which works.

Found the fastenings a bit fiddly.

I bought this apron to wear at a workshop, learning to dye fabrics. It was just what I needed, and came a day earlier than stated. I now wear it when baking as it covers all areas!! Great value.
