Sangria: Fun and Festive Recipes

A slim book, but organized by type of wine (red, white, rose, sparkling) you'll be using for your base. There's a couple of standard recipes, some more unusual ones and once you've tried 3 or 4 (and you'll definitely find more than one you want to try), you'll have gotten the hang of it and be inspired to create some of your own. I originally bought this as a gift and was so impressed by it that I bought a copy for myself. Since then, I've bought 3 or 4 copies: basically, as soon as someone I know tells me s/he enjoys sangria, I buy them a copy of this book. I looked at a couple of other books and was disappointed by the recipes- they didn't seem different enough from one another or that different from what I could come up with on my own.

This recipe book has many delicious and creative yet simple concoctions for sangria. This is my second sangria book and I prefer this one much more over the other. The recipes have more depth of flavor along with some great information so you can more easily create your own unique sangrias. One of the beauties of sangria is that it is made ahead and enjoyed while relaxing. You have the perfect excuse to purchase a sangria pitcher and now that summer is here, it is the perfect time to experiment!

I was very pleased with this book. I got it in the dead of winter in Michigan and made a new, sunny, summery pitcher every weekend as an escape. The recipes are simple, with enticing pictures. It is not a big book and has just enough recipes to inspire and teach you a basic formula, in which you can then plug in your own ingredients. I have made many succesful ones on my own just with whatever looks good in the produce section, and following the formula. A bottle of wine, a couple of shots of liquor, fresh fruit, and something fizzy. Delish!

Finally a book about delicious Sangria and the many ways that it can be made using a variety of wines, spirits, and fresh fruits. This book is full of great recipes, not only for sangria, but tapas as well. I'm really looking forward to spring and summer so I can include some of these when entertaining. Especially the Sangri-la with fresh pineapple, orange, lime, coconut cream, Grand Marnier and white wine. Know it will be a winner!

If you love Sangria, get this book. The classic Sangria recipe is excellent and the variations are delightful. I often give this as a hostess gift to fellow Sangria lovers. I think I have bought at least 5 of them so sar.

OLE!!!! Sangria heaven! This book has wonderful and super tasty sangrias. So great for parties or just make a pitcher for yourself. A total must for this summer.
