Didn't work
I was so looking forward to this product for my miniature poodle. He needs more exercise and this was going to be the answer, since I basically have two jobs. I made sure everything was all good according to the instructions and charged the batteries for over 24 hours but it never worked. The red light came on for a split second and never turned on again. I returned it and the shipping was not refunded. It cost $22 to ship. They would not send a new one. They told me I would have to buy it again and again pay for shipping with no guarantee that it would be a working product. A very costly mistake on my part; thinking that the manufacturer was reputable and able to provide a working machine or replace it without anymore cost to me. This has caused me to think twice about buying on Amazon again. I'll check the stores first from now on for anything I need. At least I can take it back to a store for a FULL refund.

thought it would be better than ifetch
I bought this maybe? 2.5 months ago. I have owned an ifetch and this Idogmate. Ifetch and idogmate do the same thing essentially with a few differences. Ifetch was more expensive and had 3 settings. It worked well every time. It is loud which my dog had to get used to the noise level because in the beginning it scared him from going near it. Idogmate is quieter. Idogmate has a storage container built into the box, nice for storing balls. Idogmate also has a remote control. What I've found with Idogmate is that it's not reliable. Some days the battery works some days it doesn't and has to be plugged into the wall even though it was charged overnight. Some days the throwing mechanism throws the ball with no issues and other days it sounds like it's huffing and puffing to even get the ball out a foot. There's no consistency to the ball throwing. I don't know if it's that the machine is on it's last legs or what, I haven't had it that long nor has my dog used it so much that it would be dying. So all in all I would recommend the idogmate IF the battery actually lasted so it didn't have to be plugged in all the time and that the motor actually threw the ball well every time.

The balls do not last
The balls only last for 10 launches then they fall apart.1.65 size is an odd size - no other size fits the machineonly ones availabe are same - at $12.50 for 5 balls that won't even last one night of playnot worth the price of the machine

Balls non-functional after first 10 minutes
Bought this for my Boston terrier to keep him occupied, and the product didn’t last 4 minutes. The balls are cheap, and after three retrievals it was oblong enough that it wouldn’t go more than 5 feet from the machine. DO NOT BUY.

Mini Goldendoodle approved!
The media could not be loaded. My 6 month old mini Goldendoodle just loves this! This video is from the day we got it. She is still learning how to drop it in the hopper and also how to stay away from the launch spot. She gets it in the face sometimes!😂. She’s a slow learner but eventually...?😬. Anyway, we love it. By the way, if you just let your pup play with the balls when you are playing fetch with the ball machine, the balls will last longer!🙄
