Mixed results but overly positive once I found the right setup
Having used this now for a few months I have tried out every setting to try to get the best out of this unit. I have found that the parking mode is a little erratic in how it determines its parked up. Left with GPS on and parking frame rate at 5fps, I found that the camera was still recording at full rate for most of the time it was parked, only occasionally dropping down to 5fps. Switching the GPS off meant it never activated the parking mode at all, it seemed to rely on the GPS unit to determine if it was moving or not, which is unreliable. Best way to minimise constant recording and keeping a parking mode is to activate the motion sensor, seems to work best in my situation. The video is good for its price point, 60fps is very grainy and poor at night, seems best to stick to the 30fps recording options. I am glad it takes a 128gb micro sd card, this means it can record a few days driving and parking before overwriting.

Discrete, fit and forget, easy to use and review footage
Fitted in a G32 BMW with a fuse tap in about half an hour. The lens moves enabling a more discrete fit over a fixed lens alternative if that's important - just make sure it's in the swept area of the windscreen. It makes a noise when powered up but otherwise the button just glows unobtrusively to let you know it's working. With a 128gb card performance has over the last few months been uninterrupted - footage is clear and entirely usable in daylight and low light. Reading registration plates in the dark may prove difficult, but not impossible. It's been baked in the sun on a south facing drive over the last summer to no ill effect.Inexpensive peace of mind.If you found this review useful, I'd be grateful if you clicked the 'Helpful' button. Thanks

Fantastic dash cam
I'm very happy with my dash cam, it is virtually invisible when mounted next to my mirror and is very easy to remove and replace for when I want to review footage/switch cards etc.I have found the GPS settings to be fairly accurate and matches well to other GPS devices in my car. The supplied cable was long enough to route it out of site though I am considering hard wiring it in the future. The video quality is excellent, both in the morning and at night and numberplates are easily visible. The only downside is it has a very slight wobble but it might have st he a fault in the way I have it mounted.

looks like a good quality camera
I was looking for a camera with a capacitor as the temps here go very high. there were a lot of recommendations on the Viofo A119. very easy installation, camera sits firmly on the bracket. very intuitive menu. the reason for the 4 star is the added functions like the crash alarm. it alarms when nothing in view, alarms when driving slowly in a traffic jam with no apparent reason, alarm in all sort of situations that have no car in front, but alarm too late when the car in front stops.

Well worth the money!
I've been using a Mobius dashcam for a few years now and it was a pain if I wanted to view footage, having to connect it to my pc.The A119 lets you view footage in the car,the quality of the recordings was brilliant enough to read number plates etc.The camera was easy to install and set up and there's plenty of YouTube guides online if you get stuck

Great product
Have brought 3 of these now, the A119 v2 has the better power connectors, set to 60fps there is no flickering (night time) of the perfect HD picture 1920 x 1080p....great value and very discreet.

Good Value-forMoney Dashcam
Initially I thought this dashcam was faulty, because it would work for a few days, and then start to save corrupt video files as the SD card filled up. But on further inspection, it turned out that the SD card I had bought was a fake. I now have a genuine SD card, and all seems well. As an entry-level product, this product offers great value-for-money, particularly in terms of the picture quality.

One of the good ones
Did compare quite a few dashcams this was the best one I found for this price. Picture quality still quite compressed as always would like to see some options to allow a higher bitrate. The resolution could provide more details no need to go 4k and so on just better quality option would be great
