I was angry at first, but I learned to appreciate this.
I though this book would launch me into Lenticular printing as an authority on the subject. It saddens me and hurts my pride to say that this IS rocket science. I have nothing but the deepest respect and admiration for Mr. Yitzhak Weissman (the author). Thank God for men like him, the ones who LIKED math and scoured over countless tables and logarithms to make that concoction that we all hope will transmute the mundane into gold. Make no mistake about it Mr. Yitzhak Weissman is a contemporary alchemist. Should this wizard ever complete a tutorial book or offer a software, I would snatch it up without a moments thought, and at a dear price.

A valuable book for those who need to understand optics of lenticular imaging
The book must be reviewid with an important detail in mind: there is no other book on lenticular imaging like this. As far as I know, the only in-depth analysis of lenticular imaging was provided by Okoshi in 1976 in "Three-Dimensional Imaging Techniques". While still relevant, the Okoshi's book focuses on photo-chemical lenticular imaging, while the Weissman's book deals mainly with digital print production. So, it is difficult to judge how good is the book, as it is the only one in the category. (I am aware there is a vast literature on integral imaging for electronic displays, which is a completely different subject). As an optician and a casual developer of lenticular software, I found the book useful. Not a "must have book", as I derived most of the results provided in the book myself. Anyway, I found some very good insights in the book I did not notice before, and it is always good to have an independent view on the subject at hand. I think the biggest weakness of the book is that analysis of a particular problem usually lacks conclusions and recommendations for practice.I would recommend the book to developers of lenticular software or lenticular sheets. I would not recommend the book to content creators of lenticular prints.

A unique book about Lenticular Optics
A great reference for anyone interested in the field of lenticular imaging. Written by an expert in the field. The book is loaded with illustrations, photographs, and formulas to explain many of the principles. This is the only book of its kind. It is technical in nature, but the author explains the concepts clearly. Lots of mathematical equations for those with a scientific or engineering interest.
