The product arrived as promised and in much quicker time frame than expected. I had placed an order with Sear Parts Direct and it had been back ordered for 2 months with no recourse in sight. I am glad I bought it here and now there is finally a big burner on the stove to cook on. The installation is tricky and there are no good videos out there to show how its done. If you have a flat glass top stove with knobs/buttons in the front, you will need to remove the front panel and bunch of smaller screws around it to get in there. But it is much cheaper as a DIY project than having someone install it for a pretty penny.

Took care of our stove. 10 minute job, very easy to replace.Helps to have an extra set of hands but one person can do this if you have something to keep the stove top propped in the open position.

If you can search YouTube, you can change your stovetop heating element. There are videos, and if you know your model (or take your old element out first), you can buy the correct element! Easy as can be and works great!

I double checked the GE element against the one sold on the GE site to be certain it was the correct element. I was able to tell my husband how to change it after watchng a You Tube video. So we were able to avoid the cost of a service call.

After watching a tutorial on installation (search on-line), I was able to install this myself pretty easily. I suggest you take a picture of the wire attachments to the element before you remove the burnt out one. I referred to it a lot when I connected the new one. Also, note that the heating element is very fragile. Handle with care. Mine cracked a tiny bit but it is working just fine several weeks later.
