Great quality
Perfect for a beginner and advanced. Recommend by my niece whom is advanced. I am the beginner.

I love them.
This is a tiny set of half pan watercolors. I have found the intensity of the color to be astounding. I have been taught to mix colors using four foundation colors and these do well. The behavior of the pigment in water on different papers still surprises me compared to the student grade colors I used before. Wet easily, mix well, rewet and lift within acceptable parameters.

Great little portable sketch set
Good choice of colours and good quality paints. My only disappointment is the plastic container which doesn't lie flat when opened.

This is quite expensive for what you get. I know it is hand poured paint and it is made from crushed up rocks made in the USA etc. etc. I just don't believe you get enough product for the price. I've been hearing about Daniel Smith colors for ages and I finally had to try this one and I must say I am extremely pleased with the quality But I wish there were a few more colors included especially in today's world, budgets are tight value nowadays.However if you can afford it I recommend it and I am satisfied

Nice set
I did some research to see what the best choice was for starting to play with watercolors. This set came up. Good quality, good mixing colors, reasonable price.

Great paints, though not the best value for money. Would make a great gift. I immediately took out the pans and put them into a much better palette when I received them.

Nice Little Sketching Set
Nice little portable sketching set. Quin rose and Hansa yellow will not render a bright orange blend, but the result does fit a more natural palette.

This watercolour has set has 6 colours and and additional 9 empty pans . However , it does not appear to be possible to buy individual Daniel Smith half pans to add to the set. It makes it meaningless and feels like an advertising scam.
