Great shoes
As with everything in life you get what you pay for…these might be on the steeper side but they’re worth it!

Very stiff
My second pair of shoes from Johnson and Murphy. The others are amazing, lambskin. They were broken in within a week and feel so good. However, these are stiff, still trying to break them in after a month, and just don't feel comfortable. Now, I completely understand that I'm comparing two different leathers, but at the same price point, I expected the same level of comfort and feel. I wouldn't buy these again. I will say though, I love the way they look. They're dressy..but still kind of rough and tumble. Couldn't ask for a more versatile looking pair of shoes. I wear them in jeans and with dress pants.

Fits my foot
I bought these, to replace some shoes that he had too pointy at toe. They fit me very well and I love the gummy soul. Very quiet to walk on.

Great shoe with really crappy soles
Shoes fit great. My foot is a little on the narrow side and they are about as good as fit as I can get. From the sole up they look great. Nice quality, thick leather. The problem as the pictures show is the sole. The only time they’re going to look nice is when you take them out of the box. For whatever reason, unlike numerous other rubber soles like this, they pick up every particle of dirt and grime and filth possible. And then it builds up on the outside and you literally have to take scissors and trim off the crap. Just scratching my head over how a company is reputable as this can allow a product with this kind of a defect to go out to the public. Again other than this they are really, really nice boots. I wear them for work only and so it doesn’t make a huge difference but you just can’t wear them any place nice. I hope they get it fixed

Beautiful, comfortable, affordable. Show-stoppers!
I saw the Copelands at Union Station while in Washington, DC. These shoes are stunners! I literally stopped in my tracks. They are new to Johnston & Murphy and are beautiful on my feet! Such a rich and deep rust color! I haven't seen anything like them although suede oxfords and chukkas are on trend right now for men (especially ones with the high contrast sole and/or laces). The J&M Copelands are deliciously comfortable and resist moist or wet pavement well with their rubber soles. Beware getting marks, scuffs and dirt on the suede (as you would with any suede garment or shoe) because the reddish/orange color is sheer perfection and nothing should distract from the inevitable attention these shoes have given me. I think they are great! Good arch/heel support and fits like a glove. Like with most suede shoes, you may find it almost impossible to put on without a shoe horn. And it's good to see J&M branching out from the reputation of being somewhat stodgey and for "old" men. Although the cut is not ready to be worn with a suit -- they still have a decidedly "American" style to the design -- they are show-stoppers with a good pair of dark denim jeans, dressed up or down. No real complaints, but imagine a sleeker, narrower shoe in this color, with a lug sole for rain/ice/snow... THAT would get 5 stars.

I think it’s fake
I’d like Amazon to investigate. While they look like J&M’s, they’re not as sturdy as my previous pair that I bought from a shoe store. The soles are already wearing quite a bit and the laces have even torn apart. I’ve only had these for a couple months.

Perfect Shoe for Business and Casual!
Great shoe, comfortable for any type of wearing. This is my second pair. I bought and wore my first pair for four years consistently before they finally got a little tear on them.

Great pair of boots
I’ve been using my boots for two months and they’re great. We have returned to the office, and now the dress code is business casual, they are perfect for this. Very happy.
