Ceramic House Numbers
These house numbers are really beautiful and unique. However, the way they are designed to hang is not a good design. These beautiful bits of ceramic have only one hole at the top which allows them to swing at the bottom. Obviously you can not use a nail and have to use a screw. In order to get them even and snug to the panel one apparently cracked. The problem was not apparent right away. but after hanging for a couple of weeks and repetitive open and closing of the front door, the vibration succeeded in fracturing the number and I found pieces of it on the front porch. I have ordered another to re[place it and will look into adding some type of glue that will adhere it to the board it is attached to. An ideal solution would be for the provider to sell a frame that they would slide into that then could be mounted to the front of the house.
