This is better than the ESP8266 It can trigger the 5volt relay but ESP8266 don't trigger.It's very nice for home automation.I will recommend this product

Use the right cable and it connects
It works. Use the right cable. You may need to install drivers online.

Totally loved it . The best among the 8266 modules .I bought it as the substitute for nodemcu and fell in love with it .

Got bricked after a few days, powers on but doesn't do anything and isn't detectable on computer

Check before u buy
The pins D6 & D7 have been removed compared to earlier supplies.It is not even reflected in the product spec or in explanation.There is no return available for this product.Amazon to look in to this
