Worth Every Dollar
Some of the best boots I’ve ever worn. The quality on them is amazing and it gives an amazing comfort. Never felt like my feet were blistering using these. They are also incredibly waterproof, protecting my feet even in knee deep water. 100% the investment, I think these boots would outlast me.

Best pair of boots I’ve found
Best pair of boots I’ve ever owned. The price is may seem high, but the quality and long life make it totally worth it. So comfortable, after a 12 hour shift my feet aren’t even remotely sore.

Amazing boots for the money!
These boots are amazing. Finally bought a pair after burning through a pair of lesser boots once a year if not more. Word of advice though, don't lace the bottom portion up super tight until they break in. In regards to breaking them in, it takes awhile. Had them almost a month now and they are finally getting comfortable. Don't forget Danner's special boot dressing for them. Will order again, but with the ability to recraft them, that probably won't be for a long time! Update! Been wearing these boots for about 10 hours a day, 5 days a week now for awhile and they are holding up great! It is such a good feeling to be able to tromp through any puddle or muddy terrain and have your feet remain dry. I usually hose them off at work to keep them looking decent and my feet never get wet. I bought the Danner boot dressing and apply it twice a month and it seems to be helping. The way the tread is wearing, I'll probably have to send them off in about a year or so to get re-soled, but that's fine. I will NEVER wear another brand of boots again as long as Danner continues to make a quality, USA made product like these boots. UPDATE! Had these since 2014. Sent them to Danner for recrafting in 2018 and just look at those pictures. Unfortunately, the soles now are worn down and the leather is split in a few places so recrafting them a second time is out of the question. I just ordered a new pair and now that I'm a bit less active at work, I expect them to last about 5-6 years before I recraft them, then another 5-6 years before I replace them. If you're buying these, make sure you get the Danner boot dressing that Amazon sells and use it every other week or so in order to keep the leather supple and pliable. I didn't do that as often as I should. Still, my original pair is now a pair to have as a backup at work. Buy once, cry once... though I wish they were $230 now like they were back in 2014 when I bought my first pair.

Comfortable boot
I purchased a pair of Bates lace to toe boots a few years ago and have worn them until the leather cracked. The biggest reason why I purchased the Bates (which are similar to these Danners) is because of the ability to have them resoled. However, I cannot send the boots back to Bates to be resoled, I had to find a cobbler in the area who could resole the boots. Because I cheat when shining the boots the leather eventually cracked. I've wanted a pair of Danner's for quite some time. I have only worn them on shift four times and the boots are comfortable for being brand new and the thickness of the leather. I used neatsfoot oil on the boots before wearing them to help soften the leather just a little bit. Obviously they were stiff when wearing them the first time, but they are breaking in the more I wear them. I spit shine the boots and the toe of the boots hold the shine really well. Plus it doesn't take much to put a shine on them either. I typically brush shine every where else. The instep of the boots are a little difficult to brush shine, so I have to hold the brush a little differently. Otherwise, they brush shine and spit shine really well and very easily. The soles of the boots are quiet when walking on lenolium, tile or even the wood laminate floors (they don't squeak) and I have a heavy foot step so the soles of the boots make my footstep very quiet when completing building searches. I haven't run in the boots yet and don't know how they will react to running, but I'm certain they will be ok. The soles are wider than the boots because of the construction and if you're not careful about where you step, you may catch the sole on something. Otherwise they are an excellent pair of boots. Plus, I can send them back to Danner to be reworked!

very comfortable boot. They run large and narrow
Have worn several different brands of duty boots over 13 year career. Danner is a HIGH quality, very comfortable boot. They run large and narrow, so I'd recommend rounding down 1/2 - 1 size smaller than you would usually wear and up one width. These boots are lighter than you might think and are VERY comfortable. I have no doubt they would last years. I know guys that have had the same boots for up to 8 years. They only need basic care and resoling every couple years. Unfortunately, I got a defective left boot that had a bulge in a seam of the left boot that required me to return the boots. I plan on buying another pair. ***UPDATE*** Danner customer service is A+. Was not looking forward to shopping for new pair. Amazon/third party seller would only refund, not exchange. I contacted Danner about problem and even though I didn't buy directly from them, they were willing to back their product. I emailed Danner and got a response within 12 hours with a customer #. I sent the boots in and 6 days later, got a replacement pair in the mail along with a pair of their $40 wool socks as a 'thank you for being a customer.' The problems present in the old boots are not present in the new ones and I am excited to break them in. It's wierd for as much as these boots cost - they don't come with insoles other than a Danner arch support insert. Highly recommend buying insoles for boots. Cannot say enough about the pride Danner takes in their product as well as the service they are willing to provide in backing it up. Beware buying from middle man sellers at a discount, as it's a gamble whether or not they'll back their product. Fortunately, Danner is a stand-up American company. The boots and the company are HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!

I have several other pairs of Danner boots and the Acadia's are a half size bigger than any other Danner boot that I have. I take an 11EE and with these I had to go to a 10.5EE and they fit perfectly. Boots broke in really nicely over a cpl days. One of the most comfortable duty boots I've owned and I've tried almost every brand. These boots are quality made and I can easily see them out lasting any other pair of boots by yrs. With Under Armor boots I was lucky to wear them a yr before they were done. My last pair of Danner Acadia's lasted 12 yrs. Yes, they are expensive but they are cheaper in the long run.

I only hear great things about that brand. They are all made a little longer so order smaller size

These boots are durable, well crafted, and very comfortable, but they require a break in period, and proper insoles/footbeds. Myself and many colleagues have noticed that the heel/ankle area of the boot is very deep, and can fold and bend in an awkward way, causing discomfort unless the boot is placed very tightly, and broken in well.
