All cutters offer exceptional sharpness and solid construction. The 6” tie cutter model lacks a spring to assist opening. However the jaw opening is unparalleled and the grip section is terrific for tightening zip ties. It’s flat ground tip was likely chosen to protect the surface beneath a zip tie while cutting. This limits some precision use but makes sense given its intended application. Its head is also angled to allow easy access for flush cuts against walls or in tight spaces. While the KNIPEX offers exceptional quality, the narrow opening jaws severely limit its versatility. However, for the right application the KNIPEX would be great for delicate work in a compact form factor. The grip, spring and precision tip are terrific. The hinge action is unrivaled. For a tradesman tool, the lack of a tip protector or spring lock is a mistake. However, none of these tools offer a lock for transport. Both the 7” and 8” Tsunoda cutters offer the same quality and features with the 8” adding a bolt-stop which can be used to promote blade protection or to execute partial depth cuts. The 8” also offers a slightly larger/longer cutter which could be beneficial for cutting large plastic crate-ties.

Cuts .093 Kydex/Holstex like butter!
I bought these because I don't own a scroll saw. I tried rounded leather punches to round corners of the Kydex, but they failed.I ordered the PN-200, advertised as a 'plastic cutter', having never used one. I tried them within minutes of receiving them. They performed great!Previously I would use a hardware-store-bought wire cutter to round corners. The Kydex shards flew everywhere! I was forced to cut into a waste bin so pieces don't fly everywhere.Enter, this Japanese plastic cutter. The pieces I cut don't fly away from the cutter! The shards aren't ejected, due to a special trait of the cutters in that, The Blades Don't Touch! (If you have it set up correctly.)Correct Setup: Set the depth screw so that the cutting edges Are Not Touching!!! Make sure you can see daylight between the whole of the blades, they will still cut! I regret that I did test cuts before I set this up....Do as I say, not as I do.Finally, if you're wondering which size cutter to get, do yourself a favor, get the largest cutter (8in. with 28cm cutting surface). You'll get more leverage from the longer handles and they are seemingly nimble enough for small work.

Top Notch Tool Quality from Japan
The quality of these flush cut diagonal cutters is second to none. The Japanese are perfectionists and it shows in this tool. I could have shown more pictures of them like how smooth and perfect the handle covers are, the hinge area are and return spring are but the showcase is on the cutting edge. The third picture added is of a Klein Tools cutter with the same specs. I'll be looking at more tools from Tsunoda in the future.

Best Pliers for cutting zip ties, as good as Snap-On!
I am a professional bike assembler. Bikes come packed in boxes with like 10 to 20 thick zip ties. I was looking to replace my spring loaded Snap-on cutting pliers, which are are no longer made. Well these were the perfect replacement and at a much better price. These cut through zip ties like butter! I highly recommend them! If used properly these will last a long time!

arrived on time and performs well
Item arrived on time and performs well cutting various types of (mostly soft) plastic. Have not tried it on hard plastic yet, but feel optimistic about it.

Great Blind Buy!
Thus far I'm thoroughly impressed by these cutters. I cut Heavy Duty zipties of varying sizes most of my work-day, and these cut them nice and flush with ease, and all for a fraction of the cost of comparable cutters. How durable they'll be, only time will tell.

Tsunoda are excellent pliers (not just for the price), made in Japan.
Tsunoda are excellent pliers (not just for the price), made in Japan. Excellent material quality and quality control - on all the Tsunoda pliers that I have purchased so far - around 10 different types.

切り口がきれいです
結束バンドの余り部分をきれいに切るのに重宝しています。切り口で引っかき傷を作らなくなりました。まだ使いはじめたばかりで耐久性は分かりませんが、バネ入りで使いやすいです。
