Great Starter Kit for the Raspberry Pi
After contacting the seller, they happily fixed a shipping mishap that resulted in me missing some wires that prevented me from using their product. Now that I've actually had a chance to try their product, it works pretty well. My first project was to help my girlfriend track the temperature of an open air fridge to see how much it fluctuates throughout the day. The code and setup instructions on their websites was very clear (even for a person who doesn't know python). And within a day I was able to setup a raspberry pi to verify that the fridge was fluctuating by over 20degrees F. The module also measures in C. Look forward to setting up other fun projects with all the other sensors.

Good value but lacking in Raspberry Pi tutorials
This is a pretty good value for what you get. With that said, here are some things to be warned about: - There's a lack of Raspberry Pi tutorials so if you're not already familiar with connecting up various things to the GPIO on the RPi then you will have to do some research/learning on your own to make these work. Hopefully you already done this kind of thing before and don't need too much hand holding. - A number of the sensors are analog with a digital threshold output. This is a bit of a drawback if you have a Raspberry Pi that has no built-in ADC (no analog inputs). You will either be stuck with detecting thresholds or you'll need to rig up a capacitor charge timing hack, or use an ADC. - The DHT11 is the older version of the temperature/humidity sensor. It uses its own wonky and slow serial protocol and I recommend downloading the Adafruit DHT python library to read the sensor. The temperature on this one is rather inaccurate, but that's no big deal because this kit comes with a much better temperature sensor (DH18B20). The humidity reading isn't too accurate either but humidity sensors aren't usually terribly accurate anyway. - The DH18B20 temperature sensor is great but remember two things: the pins on the little board are NOT in the same order as the pins on the bare component. Ground is the middle pin and the 1-Wire output is marked S. It has a little activity LED on the board that will come on if you have it wired properly. Assuming you remember to enable 1-Wire in raspi-config it will get detected by the kernel and work great. - The BMP180 air pressure sensor probably works great but it came with header pins that aren't soldered to the board. Plan to solder these on yourself if you want to use this with a breadboard. You can expect to get some components like this that come with unsoldered header pins so if you've gotten this far without a soldering iron, make plans to get one sooner rather than later. So overall this is a good value but for the RPi users with no analog inputs it would be nice if it came with an ADC too like the ADS1115 4 Channel 16 Bit I2C ADC Module . That would probably raise the cost a little though thus its arguable whether they should include one in this bundle. So suggestions to KOOKYE on how to improve this a little: - Update the DHT11 to a DHT22 - Add an ADC, even a cheap one that's only 10 bit and 4 channels.

Fun for Beginners
Most of the coding you can do on a microntroller (Arduino, PiCo) for these can be semi-interchangeable. The only exception is the more challenging Temp / Humidity DHT11. But it was fun for that reason. I used most of these sensors with both Arduino and Raspberry Pi Pico and they worked out pretty well with both. There are some sensors such as motion, water level and gas detectors I have not tried, but the ones I did give me good confidence those will work. Since this is an assortment, this does not seem like the way to go if you want to set up a series of sensors somewhere (to guard a whole perimeter), but to get the knowledge of how these things work before that bigger investment, this could work rather well.

Nice selection
Yes , there are many other sensor collections; but to be honest, those collections can contain items that are a bit superfluous. I selected this particular collection for having only those sensors I am interested in. Your mileage may vary, and there are many other collections to choose from. I found this one to have the most interesting sensors to experiment with. Recommend.
