Not bad, but a bit superficial
There is a lot of good information here, but the book doesn't go as deeply into the subject as I would have liked. A lot of the discussion is a bit superficial. The perspective is North American, so if you are hunting wild pigs elsewhere some information may not be relevant. But despite these reservations, there is enough here to justify buying the book if you want a basic introduction to the topic.

Bom livro

Good information in a narrow field of hunting
Friend very interested in boar hunting in the near future but doesn't know a thing about it. Bought it as a present... not done reading book but feedback is very positive.

Typical american hunting book
Tells you where to find 'em, and how to kill 'em.Lots of trophy photos (rifle, dead pig, fat guy beaming with pride).Very American indeed. To be fair though, this book doesn't pretend to be anything more worthy. Hence 3 stars.

Wild Boar Hunting Book Review
This book was well written and informative. He covers his topic well. It is not just another hunting book and it covers topics not generally looked at by the average hunter. The only complaint I have is I wish he had covered more on the characteristics of the wild hog. I feel it was money well spend and was well priced. The seller went over board to see that I received the book in excellent condition also.

Need more pest control hunting info
The book was just okay. It needed a lot more information for control of area pest hog hunting. Techniques for hunting hogs that only enter housing areas occasionally. In my area, the hogs appear one day and then maybe nine days later and sometimes not for three weeks. Info on their habits would be useful. Hog signs and wallows are not evident in housing areas. The hogs just visit every now and then. Info to hunt these type of hogs would be useful. I can't stay up all night for months hunting a hog in my development.

Oink! Oink! - Down Goes Porky
Our son has turned into "the man" when it comes to hunting hogs. Great skill to have here in Texas and he feeds our church at least once a year with his harvest.

Great book! But not perfect
I am almost done with this book. It was a valuable resource, but I wish there was more content. Specifically I wish he included a chapter on stories. He does have a bunch throughout the book, but I find these stories I learn the most from. You get the best sense of theory vs reality. So to the author: if you ever write another edition, please include a chapter on stories of you, your friends. In the different hunting regions. Also one more thing. I wish there were more diagrams. It has a ton of great photographs, but I was pretty shocked the absense of diagrams, whether it be the target zone of a pig, or weaponry. The descriptions of these are great, but they need pictures. We live in an age of google, but I would've liked more diagrams in the book.
