The set comes neatly organized in a sturdy carrying case, with adapters for a wide variety of vehicles—both domestic and import. Everything was labeled well, making it easy to find the right piece for my car’s calipers. The build quality is solid. The threaded spindles turn smoothly, and the plates feel heavy-duty, not like some of the cheaper kits out there. I especially like that it includes both right-hand and left-hand threaded tools, which saves a ton of hassle depending on the caliper type. This kit really makes compressing and resetting caliper pistons much easier, compared to fighting with C-clamps or makeshift tools. I used it on 2017 Ford transit 250 Tool itself is great helper and I believe that it has the sturdiness needed it for the job it is made for. It does not have any instruction, probably because it is mainly used by professionals only, so regular lesson may struggle a little too correctly assemble and also use it to the point that it evil be bent or damaged beyond use. First and foremost, keep in mind, that you not trying compress the poison, it must be wind only and direction off winding is different for passenger and driver side (caliper has imprinted arrow to navigate you which direction to use). Also keep in mind, that you compresing brake fluid trough combination of rubber and metal tubing with tiny diameter inside = you will feel the resistance!! Before you start the winding back open brake fluid reservoir to allow three compressed fluid go back in much easily. Now at some point you may feel, that it won't continue winding = strong resistance, so wait a little, adjust the tool again so it will not be too tight or too loose and try again..... it will continue again smootly. If you feel strong resistance once again,.. wait adjust and keep going again. With enough patience and your sensitive hands tool will work flawlessly as it is designed. I strongly disagree with person who bent this tool doing same job as me, it's not the tool fault! it's the human factor again and again..... This tool will do compresing or winding, you just have to know what your caliper need and hose to use this tool. 2-25-2020 Correcting: instruction is actually included inside of the box, just was ignored at the moment of first look and eagerness to try it out. Also I tested on 4 human beings ability of using the tool not knowing what it is or does. Age differences were from 7-43Y old. All received same simple info and task. 1rst task: they had to pick only 3 pieces from the box, which are needed it for the tool to function. Result = all failed 2nd task: assemble toll from the 3 pieces and make it functional Result=all succeeded in time line from 1-15 minute. 7Y old boy need it 15minutes for assembly 9Y old boy need it 1+minute 11Y old girl need it about 13 minutes Grown up women need it only 5 minutes, so adult men, who is complaining about not being able to solve it without another adult should not write negative rewiew....., especially when instruction is included. I purchased this kit in preparation of a Brake job on a 2014 Kia Forte that I know requires you to rotate the caliper while compressing. There are ways around this tool, but I figured I would give this a try. This kit comes in a decent case that looks good and has several adapters for different styles of calipers. It can also be used to simply compress the caliper as well, if you don't need to rotate it. I was able to quickly find the correct size/style adapter for my caliper and assemble it without looking at the instructions. Installing it onto the caliper was fairly straight forward and the tool did seem to work well in compressing the caliper quickly. I think a nice upgrade to this tool would be to add some sort of cushioning grip to the crank handle to make it more comfortable to turn by hand, because it could become uncomfortable if you have a stubborn caliper that needs a lot more force to compress. Otherwise it was very easy to compress for me on my 300k mile Forte caliper. If you are working at a shop it would be very quick and easy to adjust this tool for different makes/models by simply swapping out the adapters. I will say that I would also like to see the case hold the tooling a little better. As it is, it does not securely hold everything and most items will move around when opening, which could cause issues if you are using regularly. Overall, I am happy with this tool set and feel it will come in handy for future brake jobs as well.

I used it once, and it works great, way better then using a c clamp.

I bought a set from Amazon from this company about 10-years ago and loved it so much that I bought a second one for my son! He just did his first brake job on his Hyundai Elantra and was able to push in the Caliper Piston so easily with this kit, but don't fooled, tiny Hyundai pistons aren't the only ones this will handle! I have compressed pistons in Dodge Durango's, all three version from 2004, to 2025, 3/4 Ton Ram Rebels, Chevy Silverado's, Ford Focus, and even my Triumph kit car. This kit has every conceivable piston tool, with a right and left hand turn to compress even the funkiest caliper pistons. This set is amazing for the money - a SUPER GOOD Deal with the original set lasting well over 10 years and working on dozens of models vehicles. Super durable, and does not rust! Best thing I brought for replacing brakes. Had a seized caliper and with this tool I was able to get the caliper moving again. Did some maintenance to it and 2 month later the caliper is working perfectly. This tool definitely helped me save some money.

This is a great little brake wind back kit. I've used it a few times already and I'm very pleased with its performance. It feels sturdy and works smoothly. The kit also came with a couple of caliper hooks, which are really handy for keeping the caliper safely out of the way without putting strain on the brake hose. Need a specific fitment for my wife’s Nissan Qashqai’s brake piston. Being an unusual 12/4/8 pm fitting I had to purchase a kit with multi fit plates. This kit has them all & is very good quality. Highly recommended as it also comes with calliper hanging brackets & gloves.
