Great gadget
It is increadible in many ways. It records mini videos along the day whenever your animal companions pass by the camera and you can see what they have been up to all day. You can set up notifications to let you know whenever it detects a dog, a cat or a human and also whenever it hears meows, barks or loud noises. It's automatic night vision cannot be adjusted which means it doesn't work in my living room due to a wall clock that is somewhat bright. The camera has a very wide angle and it zooms very well. The treat dispenser is a little messy, every time it lets out a treat it leaves a lot of crumbles and even after adjusting it, it shoots too many treats. It is also way too strong, even the softer treat launcher is very strong. DO NOT SHOOT TREATS DIRECTLY AT YOUR PETS!!!The screws that came with it are NOT the right size which means I had to do an extra 2 holes.

Would not connect to wifi and bricked within minutes
Like other reviewers have mentioned, it is incredibly easy to accidentally brick this device. I followed the steps to set up the camera and it would not connect to my wifi. Then I unplugged the device to restart the setup. From then on the device has been stuck with a blinking orange light. It cannot be reset via the pin. I contacted customer support and they told me that the device was bricked and they'd send me a new one. I declined and chose a refund through Amazon instead. Don't waste your time with this.

Terrible customer service and BRICKED UNIT
Loved it when it worked and a year and a few months later-total Brick. Buyer beware: i was a few months after a year of having this and it just stopped working. I tried resetting it because it wouldn’t connect at all, orange/ yellow blinking lights. I got in touch with their customer service and thats when things went downhill. I was offered an option to repair the unit myself from instructions they had sent me or allow them access to my computer so they can remote fix it. I chose the fix it myself option which initially I appreciated because I’d rather fix it ASAP vs waiting on them. I had my friend look into their code/ instructions they had sent me and it was all sorts of wrong. Something was flagged as a virus and when I reported this they said “oh I forgot to mention that would happen, I assure you it is not a virus” lol!Note that you cannot do this repair yourself if you do not have a PC so if you have a mac you are SOL.I offered to send my device to them and have them fix it themselves and those requests were left unheard by them. They then offered to replace my product-great! Then they ask me for a copy of an invoice and when I purchased it. I provide them this info and they renege on the offer being that my unit is more than the 1 year warranty (a few months shy). I offer they take my unit to repair it (I mention this twice) and my emails have been left unreplied.

Great concept
I love the concept of this. However there is a lag in the phone app to house because it runs of WiFi. Often we find it gets interference. The voice comes out loud and harsh. I’m not sure if it’s the format that is used to make the files small enough for interaction. Or if it’s the speaker quality. I have an iPhone8 on att network so I don’t think it’s on my end. Kinda freaks the dog out. Also it really chucks the treats out, a little messy. My dog isn’t a fan of that feature either. He can’t seem to understand that I’m talking to him through this thing. Just runs around the house aimlessly and panicked. Besides my special dog this thing is worth the subscription fee. I get notifications when my dog is running around, if a person is, or if there is barking. It’s pretty accurate that way. Took off a star for the price of the device. The subscription is very well priced.

Hit or miss device
It’s actually hit or miss. One of our dogs loves this and the other runs away from it. It works for all members of our family to communicate and check in on both dogs. We would recommend.
