I'm a little disappointed in the product after I saw all the great reviews. While I do like the faceplate replacement I received (It looks very nice and professional and has a very nice feel to it), it is slightly more raises than it should be. While it does fit, it does not fit properly.There is a slight gap all around the faceplate and the rest of the controller. Also, the start and select buttons along with the profile switched are now about the same level as the face and are not raised.I would really love to give this 5 stars. I don’t know if I just got a defective one. Everything but the slight raise is perfect. (I believe the raise is from the right and left stick hole)EditedAfter reviewing the product and about how I was unsatisfied with the slight raise, I was sent a new faceplate, without even being asked. Although the new faceplate doesn't fix the very slight raise issue, I think the customer service was perfect. I believe it was the right thing to do to send a new replacement to fix the problem without consulting me.Also, after using my controller for a while with the faceplate replacement, I do not notice the raise as much.I would now rate the faceplate 3/5 and the costumer service 5/5

I have a series 1 elite and I read all those bad reviews and I was hesitant on buying it BUT... I’m glad I did. The feeling is great and the plate being too high everyone is talking about A: it’s not as bad as they’re making it seem. B: the 5 posts where the screws go on the back of the faceplate are what makes it “too high” I just took a finger nail file and slightly filed them down very little took 2 minutes and it fits perfectly the new screws fit snug which is nice the analog rings pop right in with a nice feel even if it wears out every 4 months I still think it’s worth it . The only reason it’s not a 5 star install is because if you want no side gaps which are very small but you have to very little file the Underneath screw Posts to make it set lower other then that it’s a 5 star everywhere for me

3/4 Update - I'm returning this and dropping it one star. This will not work with the Elite Controller. The left thumbstick diameter is a little off, preventing sufficient throw up. The right thumbstick diameter is really badly off, preventing up throw and right throw to a full extension, and it's noticeable. I switched back to the stock faceplate and didn't have the same issues. Your experiences on a non-elite controller might be different, but I would recommend against use on an Elite controller.Really pretty, feels silky too unlike the original faceplates. Not sure how this will wear over time, I'll update the review if I see any unusual wear or wear patterns.The fit on the upper side and top face plate are a little off. They're not quite as snug fitting as the original faceplate, but you have to be really OCD to let it bother you. They work just fine. Just be aware, it's not you not putting it back together, it's just off a bit.Definitely gorgeous faceplate though.Oh, do yourself a favor and get the tools from 7watts. The cheap tools included work, but it's night and day using the tools from 7watts.

I have the xBox One Elite controller series 1, and it doesn't fit all the way. I originally purchased this thinking it was a cover, but it was a face plate, so I decided to install it anyways because the reason I bought this is because the front of mine is really worn out. It's pretty difficult to install as you have to take apart the controller to do this. It's loose over the right analog stick and if I have the controller upside down, it slides forward. The plate over the ABXY buttons is also not tight enough. The plate itself has a few chips in it and sharp edges around the edges of the plate. The design and material though otherwise look and feel very nice.

I can't decide if I should give it a 3 star or 4. The quality is very nice. Easy on the hands, feels nice an sturdy and not cheap and plasticy. Two big isssues, 1) The faceplate is a bit bigger than the factory plates and there's gaps on the top left and right side. Eventually this will cause dirt and dust to get in a lot easier. 2) The provided rings that go around the stick hole are too high and don't sit flush which cause the short sticks to hit the edge a lot quicker than factory rings. I had to swap out the new ones with factory rings and then the sticks were fine. All in all its an ok product, wish the fit was tighter and the rings lower. For the price it's alright.

turns yellow and stains. leaves something to be desired in terms of softness as well.the install and fit is fine,the graphics look good, price is about right, the materials leave a bit to be desired though from looking around i'm not sure if there's better out there.i was trying to replace my Recon Tech controller and bought an elite with this cover....i think the Recon Tech was still a better controller when it was new....i just wore the thing out over the years and couldn't find another to replace it with.

Looks and feels fantastic but does not fit smoothly on the controller. I did confirm that I bought the correct model (elite controller 1). The faceplate did not go all the way down, which did not allow me to switch modes or press the start button. Also there was too much space exposed between the bumpers and the faceplate. This would cause damage to a controller longterm because the internal components are exposed. Lastly, the holes for the screws on the faceplate were slightly off, which made it a hastle to screw in.

Design looks cool. Just wish they didn't lie about it fitting an elite controller. Amazon, get your shït together. Start testing products before you sell them. I use this cover but it does fit awkwardly. Just wish there was some honesty on this site so I can buy a product I want without being lied to about fitment or quality.

Very comfortable, feels as high quality as the original face plate. Little fiddly to install first time if you've never taken a controller apart before, but definitely worthwhile

Easy to place but doesn't fit perfectly. Looks and feels great but just doesn't have the best fit.
