I ordered black and received blue. No big deal nice color and paper isn’t too thin

I buy solid colors for wrapping, since they translate to multiple occasions. I bought this in black, and immediately ordered emerald after I received this roll. The paper is 4 ft wide and heavy, so keep that in mind if you are concerned with weight or storage room. There is a smooth side to the paper that appears slate gray rather than black. The textured side has a velvety feel almost like fabric. It's a deep, rich color. The paper is fairly heavy weight, creases cleanly, and holds sharp corners. It withstood a lot of wrapping, and gifts were stacked in a box until they were put out tonight.Use packing tape or double sided adhesive as regular paper tape will not stick.I can't speak to the quality of lighter colors, but dark colors are solid and not seethrough. No need to double up on paper layers, even though you'll have enough to wrap everything about 10 times over.PS. My cat has been living in the tree for the past two weeks, and he hasn't managed to tear any packaging either.

Was lighter weight than expected.

It seems like there are some bad reviews because people didn't realize how big this roll is. Folks, it is FOUR FEET TALL and 200 feet long. Yes, that means it is big and heavy! Keep that in mind before you order.I bought the red paper and I think it is plenty thick enough, but if you are expecting something like cardstock, it is definitely not that thick. Reminds me of the butcher paper used to make signs in high school for the sports games and school spirit. I'm using it to wrap presents (for the next decade I think! This roll is HUGE). There is a rough and smooth side and as noted by other reviewers, the rough is approximately like construction paper texture (but not as thick as construction paper). Smooth side is slightly glossy on the red paper. I am using Elmer's Painter's Opaque White marker to draw on the rough side of the paper and it works great! I like how it turns out. My only complaint is that Scotch tape doesn't hold things together very well. After a while it comes apart.Some other reviewers mentioned... - Streaks on the smooth side (but he was talking about the black one), which I don't see in the red paper. - Wavy appearance as if exposed to moisture (I think he got a bad roll!), my paper was totally straight - See-through. Maybe that's only for the white paper because the red is totally opaque. - Doesn't come on a core like photo shows. Well yes, it doesn't come on a cardboard core, but the photos don't show it does!

I purchased this paper because I often just need a base to catch paints, shavings, anything really that you want to be able to clean up without a closet full brooms or sink full of sponges and such. I LOVE this paper. As an artist it is perfect to line my work bench. I can lay acrylic paints directly on the surface and mix and apply them to my canvas. I also use paper of this type as a table cover for my dining table and ofter use it to jot notes or ideas as I walk by. Other reviews say the paper is thin and tears easily, I am not sure what they are reviewing but the roll I received is a nice thick high quality paper that I would liken to a fine wrapping paper. It is far thicker and more sturdy than newsprint, sketch paper, typing paper, printer paper or the paper you would normally find in any office. It is excellent for wrapping paper, excellent for table runners, excellent for covering the wall or easel in your budding artist room and letting them go crazy marking it up. (By the way save those drawings, they are usually gallery quality) Bottom line, if you want a high quality art, wrapping, any other thing you can do with paper that you need it to hold up, then buy this but hurry cause Im getting a lot more for my supply closet.

Bought this brown paper to cover up a mural for our wedding reception. We searched for an easy way to cover up this 7ft tall by 19' 2" wide mural and we didn't want to spend hundreds of dollars on a couple of hours so we found this idea. The brown paper is thick enough that you cannot see through it and there is enough of it to cover the whole thing and still have some left over. We just happen to be using brown as one of our wedding colors. This is well worth the price and we may have to use this on another area of the reception as well.

Paints dont bleed through to the back. Versatile for any project.

Good quality paper for a good price. Thick enough for most crafts. We painted and used markers and glue. The large size is great for group activities, we used this for a full week of camp crafts.

Not Heavyweight paper. See through. Uneven fabric. Cannot tell duo-finish. Not good for paints. Description is misleading. Returned

I love that this is nice and thick but that also means it’s hard to see lines for tracing anything underneath it.

Great product! Nice true black decent weight paper. I've had trouble from other brands where the paper is more charcoal, but this stuff looks great.
