Fits 4thgen 4Runner JBL system perfectly, A+for the price!
Excellent replacement for the factory 8" JBL shallow mount subwoofer in Toyota vehicles. Some minor modifications are required but not to the vehicle. Some speaker leads and the sub basket needs trimmed slightly to mount easily. Sound is improved over stock JBL sub.Mounting circle is smaller diameter than the stock subwoofer, doesn't direct fit. Trim the six mounting holes to mount using stock hardware and grill. I used a sheet metal zip cut disc on a grinder, Less than thirty seconds to modify the basket to fit the stock, non modified enclosure. Wiring was simple enough, I did fabricate a factory harness adapter. Four male spade end crimp-on terminals and two feet of stranded 18 guage wire (4x6").Build quality of this sub is excellent for the price point. You won't be disappointed unless you are comparing to much more expensive subs.Sound quality is very good for a shallow mount sub, improvement over factory Toyota. This sub is driven by the factory amplifier no problem. No it is not going to be utilised to capacity by the factory JBL system, but it is totally compatible and an upgrade all around. Price is one quarter to one fifth of the high-end shallow mount subs of this size that are three inches or shallower mounting... Wow!Yes I'd buy it again, doubt I'll have to! Been running it for a week only, but hey so far it's been a huge improvement over stock. The Hifonics Brutus is a far cut above the Toyota factory JBL subwoofer. Nuff said.

07 tundra factory JBL sub replacement
Replaced the stock (jbl) sub in my 2007 Toyota Tundra double cab. I watched a YouTube video because u have to bypass the old stereo hook-up (clip). Just cut it and wire positive and negative wires straight to the sub. Just plug and play, pretty much. Sounds great, much better after a couple weeks of breaking it in. I'm very satisfied with my purchase

Good value for price
I installed these speakers with a boss amp and aftermarket cd DVD player am FM system I add this sub with my existing Toyota Tacoma 4 speaker system these subs enhanced the sound by about 40% overall they are ok speakers for how cheap they are I heat glued these to wood frames to be inserted into the storage box area under my back jump seat they were a perfect fit after I removed the tire jack and holder. The subs produce a fair amount of thump nothing to brag about but they are a good factory enhancement I have no complaints they actual look nice after completed I set this up so i could quickly remove the speakers if i need to use the rear seating for passengers.

Fits a Mercedes AMG GTS Perfectly!
Mercedes OEM sub was shot when I got my car. Mercedes wanted $800+ for a new sub. When you remove that sub, it makes you wonder how they can possibly charge that much. The magnet is only the size of a baseball. This sub was a perfect fit for the housing and sounds great in the stock housing. And I saved a boatload for additional car payments. lol

Nice speaker, but arrived damaged
One of the posts was broke off. I was able to fish it out of the speaker, and the wire was still attached to the rest of the speaker, so found a way to tape it back together and make it work. Would have sent it back, but you only get 15 dollars return shipping which would not cover the costs from Canada.Ease of install is 1 stars because the posts stick out farther than the 7.2" hole you cut to drop the speaker in, so you have to try to push them in without breaking, which makes me think that is what happened to this speaker, and then it got returned and sent to me...Hits pretty good for an 8" tho.

AWESOME SOUND!
The Base Response, Incredible, I Bought 2 for my 2005 Ford Mustang GT, With a Shaker 500 factory system. I removed all the factory stuff and went after market! These subs replace the factory 2ohm subs in the Lower doors, the doors contain a factory enclosure so the new subs need a spacer between the speaker and the door to fit the magnets in the enclosure. I used the mounting ring that comes with the sub. to make them work you have to use some parts from the stock subs, So there is a bit of modification you have to do to make the new subs fit in the factory enclosures. COMPLETELY WORTH the effort!
