a movie for all ages
This movie is not only funny. It has some valuable life lessons in it. For children, watching this would be good for any oldest child who resented the arrival of a sibling. All the feelings that a child goes through of being displaced by the new baby are on display, as well as a resolution to that problem. For parents, it is a reminder to not focus on one child to the expense of the others. But for people who focus too much on their job, they might see themselves in boss baby. It is a wonderful spoof on the preoccupations of the businessman. So this would be good for any adult who thinks only of their work life and career and is missing LIFE. You probably wouldn't be able to get this last category of adults to watch this movie unless you tied them to a chair in front of it. But it would be good for them if you could.

Blu-ray 3D Review
I have a diverse Blu-ray 3D library, and while DreamWorks films aren't always my priority when it comes to beefing up my collection - I have yet to be disappointed. It's hard to think of a DreamWorks 3D presentation that is sub-par, so I'm never shy about skipping a film in theaters, but picking it up to watch at home instead. The Boss Baby is no exception to that rule - it uses 3D in a beautiful, fun way that really immerses you into the imaginative world of the movie. I had fairly low expectations going in, and I'm happy to say that I was very pleasantly surprised. I recommend this title for anyone who wants to add a silly animated film with a stellar 3D presentation to their library. It's certainly not a Disney film, but that doesn't mean it isn't a lot fun. 👶🏼

The only movie I can listen to over and over again without going nuts
My kids love repetition and they love to watch this movie. Thankfully, it's a very well done movie. The story is great, the music is great, the voice acting is great, the animation is great, and all around it's enjoyable to listen to. I play it in the background while the kids are either watching it or playing with their toys and it keeps them entertained. It's the only movie I can play in the background on repeat without going insane because of how enjoyable it is. It's a great movie to just watch with your kids too. Pleasing to both adults and children. Worth multiple watches.

Phenomenal, and sentimental to me SPOILERS IN REVIEW DO NOT READ IF NOT SEEN
My son's name is Ross. I showed this movie for the first time to my son, Ross, the week my father died. I was surprised to see that the Captain of the airplane later on in the film was named Ross. Tim Templetons bedtime song was also the favorite song of my brother who has long since passed away, also by the name of Ross. If you have an eye for details, or grew up in the 70s, this film is definitely for you. I love how all these coincidences gave me comfort in the strangest way."Every Christmas, every birthday.... I will be there."

Sweet Film for Whole Family
My boys, ages 8 & 12, asked to rent this movie. I was skeptical, but all three of us ended up loving it. There were some good jabs at the corporate management world for adults. Visual jokes and action sequences kept my kids engaged. Plotlines don't always make sense, but in this kind of light family fare, they really don't have to.Since we're nearing the end of summer, my sons have been bickering more than usual, so the broader theme about sibling connection was especially touching. (The film provides good support for kids who are trying to make space for a new sibling, re: there's enough love for everyone.) And any film that liberally sprinkles The Beatles' "Blackbird" throughout both as a family lullaby and a metaphor for growing up together is likely to grab my heartstrings.Another plus: the retro-style animation used in the kids' imagination scenes is reminiscent of Mary Blair's work for Disney - most notably on "It's a Small World" ride. The frequent changes in animation design are visually engaging and -- at times -- absolutely beautiful.Overall a silly, sweet story for a lazy summer afternoon.
