I own the same guitar and LOVE it. The action is great. The sound is clear and bright. It has a gorgeous look. To be clear, the back is more than plastic. It's an acoustically designed, engineered material. It is supposed to be a little soft. It is an acoustic electric. Plug it in and it will rock!

Top is beautiful. Back is PLASTIC.
My son bought this. The top is beautiful. But, the plastic back does NOT impress me. The sound is soft. My son likes this instrument.We have a Gibson guitar that is 100 years old. It still sounds awesome. I wonder what shape the plastic on this guitar will be in, one hundred years from now?

Great looks and sweet tone.
I'm a busker in Toronto and needed a guitar with great projection but with clarity and nice tone. This 2078 axp fits the bill perfectly. It is louder than most all wood guitars due to the deep contour bowl. Sounds crystal clear and loud as I could ask for. The guitars finish is flawless and the Okuome wood is beautiful. I changed the strings to Ernie ball aluminum bronze lights and wow. Ovation really delivered with this beauty.
