My eye lashes are black. I didn’t think about it but black on black doesn’t quite work. However, when I managed to capture my eye lashes, it works really well.

I had one of these for a year and a half and the little metal spring messed up between the handles but I still love this product more than big name brands so I bought another one. The price is good enough where if I have to replace it every year or two I'm a happy camper. I never had to even replace the rubber part on it like I had to do other name brands. The blade doesn't cut into the rubber material. I like that the handles are coated in a rubber type material as well. Very soft on the fingers. They are comfortable and easy to use. They curl really well.
