Lonely Planet Belize 7 (Travel Guide)

Lonely Planet guides can always be counted on to provide a great range of traveling options, especially for those not particularly interested in luxury travel that often ends up ignoring what makes local cultures "tick." This Belize Guide, while a bit out of date, nonetheless was extremely useful and could be counted on for helping us locate great local restaurants, how to find great places to do cave river tubing, and so on. Frankly, a bit more on Belizean cuisine would have been appreciated, as it is a bit more interesting than suggested in this edition. Nonetheless, I would still recommend this book.

We love to buy and take a book with us when traveling. This book was very helpful in planning and trying to figure out what to do. Unfortunately we went in late 2021. Belize has greatly changed due to covid, alot of the businesses were not open anymore. But we were able to find new operators to help us. The book gave us a good direction and an idea of activities.

Lonely Planet guides have been my travel resource of choice for years, and Lonely Planet Belize certainly loved up to my expectations. The information in the guide offers options for various types and styles of travelers, from the "typical tourist" to the "budget backpacker." The Belize guide was just updated this year, and I appreciated the current information...though it's a shame that there's not a good way for travelers like me to add information online or suggest additions for the next printing. Lonely Planet Belize is a well laid out, high quality guide that handles the rigors of travel and use. I don't travel to another country without having that country's copy handy.

It came in great condition but I wish it had more pictures in it. :(

We're heading to Belize in February and continue to go back to this book to help with our plans. This is our first time there, so we're finding a ton of great tips in this book!

I have been using Lonely Planet books for 20 years - this edition is of the same quality that you can expect from Lonely Planet.

I reveiwed many guides to the country of Belize and this was the most Informative so far.

Most helpful and full of interesting information of many Belize subjects - not merely on tourism.

Der Reiseführer hat mir bei meiner Belize-Reise sehr gute Dienste geleistet!Solange man mit der englischen Sprache und der "typischen" LonelyPlanet-Gliederung der Kapitel (eher thematisch als örtlich innerhalb der einzelnen Städte/Regionen) zurecht kommt, gibt es glaube ich kaum einen umfangreicheren und aktuelleren Reiseführer.Volle Empfehlung meinerseits.

My two other Belize books were very outdated and since we travel there several time yearly, it was time for a new one. This is the first Lonely Planet travel guide that I have purchased, but there is lots of good and helpful information, maps, etc.

Bought this book for my wife who is planning a trip to Belize to go snorkelling. The book is very informative.
