For my 6yr old son..he loves it! Batt charges in 2-3hr, drvs to beach, in ocean, and back!
The media could not be loaded. This came recommended by Amazon because Alexa has figured out I have children. I bought this for my 6 yr old son who absolutely loves cars and anything electronic. He chose to get the neon green one. The package arrived and was decently packaged safely for shipping. As you can see from the photo it comes with the car/truck/boat, a USB charging cable, a battery pack, a screwdriver for opening the battery compartments on both the remote and the car/truck/boat, and a card with a link or QR code to join the Free to Fly community. Our car was fully charged upon receiving it. You can tell if the battery is charged because the red LED on the USB charger will not blink if it is fully charged. It blinks while charging only. After more than an hour of extensive use and countless donuts in the grass and driveway my son decided to charge it before it died. It charged back up in 1.5hrs. The same day the whole family walked to the beach, my son drove the car the entire way, drove at the beach and in the water for over 30-40 minutes, and drove the car all the way back home. It still had battery life once we got home and placed it back on the charger!Seeing the car/truck/boat in the water was really impressive. I thought it would get crushed by waves and just sink but the little guy stays afloat! My son enjoys making ramps out of cardboard boxes and jumping the car off into water now. Seeing the amount of abuse this has already endured in just a few days has already proven the toys worthiness lol!On the bottom of the car there are two rubber plugs that you pull out once you are done playing in water, this will release any trapped water from inside the vehicle. If you are having a hard time stuffing the battery and wires in the compartment, see my photo on how to place the pack and wires properly. My only gripe is I wish there was a battery charging terminal with a rubber plug rather than a sealed compartment that must be opened to be charged, but this is a very minor gripe. I appreciate that the battery pack is extremely universal so finding a replacement one day will never be an issue.I would buy this again and I would recommend this to others. If you appreciate my review please give me a follow, it is why I make these reviews!https://www.amazon.com/gp/profile/amzn1.account.AEHSZ3A2L54BPC4ZX6WNPI4JV7MQ?preview=true

Goes fast, turns & flips easily, really is waterproof
I purchased this remote control car to play with outside. I wanted one that was waterproof to keep it safe from the elements. I was attracted to this model because of the large fins on the tires which give it a good grip on the grass and dirt. It comes in a nice box, so it would make a great gift. It comes with the car, a remote control, a rechargeable battery for the car (no batteries for the controller which needs 2 AA), a short USB charger (no AC adapter, but we all have so many at home now that I don't see that as a drawback), and a small screwdriver. The screwdriver is required to change the batteries in the controller (1 screw) and the car (4 screws). This is the only drawback I found with this product: you do need a screwdriver to recharge it. I assume it uses screws instead of a normal latch because it helps to waterproof, so I didn't take any stars away. It is only a minor annoyance. The screwdriver does have a magnet in the head, so the screws stick which is a nice feature. The battery was easy to charge and install. The controller paired automatically once I pressed the on/off button on the top of the car. The car's remote control takes some time to get used to because of the dial instead of the twin-stick setup, but it makes more sense to have a dial because the car can flip upside-down and still drive, so the twin-stick controls would be flipped too, but with the dial, it is easier to maneuver. The trigger makes the car go forward and backward. It is easy to make stationary turns by turning the dial, and flipping the car is easy too by going forward and backward quickly. It flips when running into walls too. Note that the wheels are very hard and I don't recommend running into things because I put a small chip in my wood furniture playing with it inside. I had a lot more fun with it outside where I had plenty of room to let it go fast, which it does. I tested it by driving it over the yard after it rained heavily and there was standing water, and it had no problems driving through. The battery did last for almost 20 minutes which is satisfactory. When I was done, it was easy to clean due to being waterproof: I just rinsed it off in the bathtub and let it air-dry.Overall, I am very satisfied with my purchase and highly recommend this car/boat remote control car to anyone, adult or kid alike. 5/5 stars.

My Son's (And My Cat's) Favorite Toy Right Now
I got this red model for one of my sons as a way for him to enjoy the insane amount of snow we have outside (you can only sled and snow shoe for so long). As this claimed to be waterproof, I thought it was a perfect fit for him, and I was right. This is his first RC toy, and it was really a good choice. Although this unit has indeed been water/snow resistant so far, it actually kind of struggles on top of the snow. That’s okay though. It does really well on a plowed area that left a puddle of water and ice. This unit has been good for him to learn on. In the case that this little car accidentally hits a little brother and tips over, it actually keeps working up-side-down. It does, indeed make 360 degree turns. It’s surprisingly quiet. There is a charging unit, and the battery pack has to be removed to charge it. It’s really simple, and my son does this himself. There is no indicator to say when it’s charged, so I don’t know how long that takes. We just leave it plugged in for a while. We’ve only had this for a little while, but it’s held up really well so far. He hasn’t exactly been crashing it into anything, but one cat in particular has an interest in it, and it’s still in one piece. (The cat and the car.)The controller is designed for a right handed person, but could be it wouldn’t be difficult to accommodate yourself by turning it up-side-down if you were a left handed person.
