don't buy Danish Endurance. poor quality and wear quickly.
bought 4 pack . They looked nice new wore a pair for one day and looked with 5 months old.The build quality and look inside out is not award winning at all. so disappointed. I thought I would be sorted for mountain bike sock for the year but might need to look for another company in a month.See pic

Good quality and still disappointed, not what they were...
Read the blurb yourself, there’s enough of it. Even a section on washing (I double checked that afterwards). When they arrived I was suitably pleased, they looked the part, not too thick, they weren’t going to replace my hiking socks but robust enough and sized sensibly so not sized “for 6-11”. I want convenience in my life, I don’t want to be hand washing woollen socks, I’ve got better things to do but hey, if that’s your thing then good for you. They arrived prompt as ever, a pack of three. In the few weeks I have owned them I had only used two of the three pairs - honestly I have lots and lots of other socks that had been utilised during this period - I noticed they seemed a snugger fit. I searched for all three pairs, one pair remained unused and NOTICEABLY larger then the other two pair. As it happens I checked the washing instructions assuming I hadn’t read some small print and no, it wasn’t the case. The socks had been washed per instructions. So, in short (like the socks), they are described as “Danish Endurance Merino Wool light 3/4 Socks” I’d probably change that to “Danish Endurance Merino Wool light starting as 3/4 Socks then even lighter 1/2 Socks”.

Comfy but not worth the money. Not durable (see photo)
I bought several pairs for a trip and none of them lasted through the summer. Every sock ended up worn out at the heels. They are comfy but really not worth the money considering they will only last a few months.

NOT 100% merino
I bought these for the sole reason that they are marino wool. I already own some Icebreaker merino socks which are far more expensive so I read the description of these and thought they were a bargain. When they arrived I realised why; they are not 100% merino. In fact they are barely 50% merino. I immediately came back to check the description in case I missed it but can't find anything to suggest they are mixed blend. If it's there, it's well hidden. The socks may well be lovely and will probably wear well due to the other fibres but I feel I've been cheated. I purchased these on behalf of my elderly mother who suffers from cold feet. She doesn't get about much so I just wanted pure merino. The socks do look like they're worth the money but they're not 100% merino as I was lead to believe so I'm giving 1 star for failing to 'clearly' describe them.

Expensive but excellent
These socks are on the less-thick side of the spectrum compared with other wool hiking socks I've worn, which makes them suitable for mid-season as well as winter use. They're excellent quality and attractive - I receive no rubbing issues from the seam work which is top-notch and these are nothing but comfortable even when paired with a heritage-style leather boot which used to rub me quite painfully with my previous cotton socks. The only obvious issue is the price which is expensive for a pair of socks. If these are still going strong in 3 years then I'll say that in terms of price-per-wear, that's fair enough but it's too early to say. So far, so good, however.

Perfectly decent multi-use merino wool socks. Happy to review!
THICKNESS - Medium. Not so thick that you won't be able to wear with dress shoes (unless you wear fashion dress shoes), but sufficiently thick to provide comfort, insulation and anti-chafing for anything up to medium-level hiking boots (base camp hikes)QUALITY - I tend to judge this by how long socks last and I've only had these for a day or two. They do, however, bear all the signs of a well-made sock (feel, look, stretchiness/springiness)COMFORT - Really good. They fill the space between my naked foot and the inner of my usual day-to-day walking shows perfectly. Not too slippy and nice and springy (hopefully that will last)FIT - I'm size somewhere between size 10-.5 and 11.0 UK (44 to 45 EU) and they're bang on for this!QUIBBLES - none really. As I say...perfectly decent socks. Some might say expensive (I would have given 4.5 stars had I been able to with the 0.5 off for the price), but then they really are well made and, of course, ethically produced (one of the key reasons I thought I'd try this brand over others, which I know can't make the same claim)

Seriously disappointed, the quality is no where near matching the price of £26.95
really disappointed with the quality of these socks, so disappointed with these that I have cancelled a second order of the DANISH ENDURANCE calf hight Outdoor Walking Socks versions, that I ordered the same time as these ones. When they came I was shocked how little fabric was actually on the padding area ESPECIALLY FOR £26.95, the company should be embarrassed.I wore one pair from the new pack today, absolutely no noticeable difference in comfort from regular thin dress socks. worn for approximately 4-5 hours and out on a 45 min walk, when I took them off, they were already extremely frayed and bobbled, and the "padding" just blended like it was part of the thin material the rest of the sock is made out of.I seriously hope I get a reply from the company, as absolute joke of a price for such poor quality, extremely misleading advertisement. to put it to comparison, I have a 5 pay pair of Marks & Spencer padded training socks, which cost £22.50, and the padding on them is about 5x more than these, I've worn them multiple times over 3 months and they are still pretty much good as new after all this time and multitude of washes washes.

Good quality. Good fit, ideal.
Initially very happy with fitting quality. Fit well (9-12 ordered:personnal foot size UK 10. All three pairs manufactured to good quality and specs. 40% merino wool, 30% aryclic, 28% nylon, 2% elastin. Can be machine washed 40c do not tumble dry or iron so air dryed only. Will be using for everyday wear and outdoor hiking (all weather's) Sufficient sock above the ankle for use with walking boots. Will update on durability later as only just received. Hence 4 stars. Washed 3 times now and they basically came out if the washing machine dry, so air drying is no problem. Update after a few washes appear to have a little shrinkage--clear instructions do not tumble dry.
