First, let me say that this is my first hive so I don't speak with a lot of experience. I can say that it is constructed with quality materials and expertly crafted. I may not have any experience in beekeeping but I have done some woodworking in my time so I can recognize a product that has been put together by someone that knew what they were doing as opposed to someone that didn't. As you can probably tell, I am running out of words to express how pleased I am with this hive. I can't wait to get some bees in it! One final note, the bees I am hoping to house in it are currently residing inside a cottonwood tree in my front yard. They moved in about 6 or 7 years ago and I finally got up the nerve to try my hand at relocating them.

This is our first hive. It's well built. Top is nice and heavy. Bees are doing well on the frames.The only negative is the inner cover is made from masonite. It sags with the weight of a 1 gallon feeder on it, so I built another cover to hold the feeder. There also isn't a top exit, which we cut in ourselves.Note that this is an 8 frame hive, so it's a bit harder to find accessories like hive top feeders that fit. My local supplier doesn't carry 8 frame parts.

The hives are in great shape and looks really nice in our garden. The angled base is two pieces which I would have preferred it to be a single piece.

Very good quality garden hive. Can't wait to get some bee's. I really like the design of this hive. Bye
