aFe TR-3008P Takeda Cold Air Intake System

I have to say that I bought this twice. They don’t fit exactly right and so I sent the first one back (that was 2018). The part I’m talking about is the passenger side PCV connection from the mounted black plastic resonator to the polished intake line just upstream of the throttlebody. This time while installing I disconnected the plastic resonator (was considering taking off the plastic part and rigging PCV Hose direct from crankcase to the intake or just doing the PCV delete kit by EPS Tuning) and just muscled it all in. The intake into the throttlebody seems a little misaligned and would probably benefit from their silver bullet throttlebody spacers. Well at least it is all together, tightened, and sounds and looks decent.Observations: I can’t tell if it is actually adding the claimed torque and HP. The dyno results claimed by Takeda are eye-opening and results are what we want. I considered Admin Tuning’s giant behind-the-grill cold air intakes but they require remapping the ECU and I just didn’t want to do all that - yet. Since I’m switching from an aftermarket silicon intake with drop-in K&N OEM fitting Filters, I am not noticing much if any difference in sound or performance.Conclusion: these do look nice and I like this company. I think my next move is to add the throttlebody spacers to squeeze out a couple more ponies. If that gets old, then Admin Tuning’s giant intake kit with 3” intakes and throttlebodies. And if that gets boring, Stillen makes a supercharger...but for now I’m pretty happy with these.

First, I'd like to mention that I'm actually using this intake on a completely stock 2007 G35S Sedan (V36), and not the G37 coupe that this intake is meant for. The passenger side fits perfectly with no modifications. The driver side is a bit trickier in that the included intake coupler is just not long enough. Lurking the G35/37 forums will tell you that you'll need a more flexible 5/8 crankcase hose than the one Takeda provides, so I bought a Spectre intake coupler at my local auto parts store AND a more flexible 5/8 hose, but found that I didn't need the 5/8 hose at all. The longer coupler provided enough flexibility to have the intake fit into Takeda's crankcase hose.The provided instructions are detailed and easy to understand. Takeda also provided a license plate frame and a load of stickers and decals. I'm talking about 15 or so stickers.I bought the intakes strictly for the amazing sound they make. Below 3k RPM's they are almost inaudible, but after 3k the sound hits you like brick wall. I didn't perform a real dyno, but my butt dyno tells me they may have improved the torque just a bit. My car also reported a 9.7 MPG average for a week after installing the intakes, but I can guarantee that it was my foot's fault.For the price and included Prime shipping, these are a must-have.

They look great and are very easy to install. I had to cut one of the hoses to make it fit but other than that they fit up perfect. Makes the car sound better at high rpms and feels a little more responsive. Kind of expensive for what you get but I think it's worth it.

Pros: The Intake system Was very simple to install, Vehicle sounds like a beast past 3000rpm looks nice when I pop the hood.Cons: During the installation the vacuum hose from my G37 had to be cut to fit the distance between the engine and the intake, Item also did come with Heat guards.

For those Infiniti owners this will fit the M37x or Q70 with just a slight modification and I love the way my M37x sounds now and definitely gained some power I would recommend this to any Infiniti owner

Great accesory, doesn't take much to install, a little pricy for the quality.

I highly recommend afe cai. Easy install and a noticable power gain.
