Nutcracker Ballet Paper Dolls with Glitter! (Dover Paper Dolls) Paperback – October 20, 2011

These paper dolls are made of thicker, quality paper. Art designs in costumes are beautiful. Many outfits for both male and female dolls. Because I wanted to make stick puppets from them I cut the clothes out - to be glued to tongue depressors, along with supplementing an additional basic outline of the bodies using poster board to give added strength. Then took pictures of my granddaughter's faces and substituted them for the paper doll face. It was tedious but because the original clothes were so beautiful and sturdy they facilitated the idea perfectly. My grand daughters and their parents LOVED them. The glitter on the clothes make all the difference.

A beautiful collection that warms the heart, and inspires the imagination to bring the magic of the story to life through play. As a paper doll collector, I am NOT disappointed with this product by any means! In fact, I bought this as a Christmas gift for my niece whom we share a love for the Nutcracker story, and I am SO thrilled with this product, that I am even ordering one for myself to add to my collection!

My granddaughter danced in the Nutcracker this year for the first time, so I wanted to get her this set. The pieces were beautiful and glittery and very special - and accurate as to the individual components. Would definitely recommend it for anyone who loves the beauty of the costumes and storyline of the Nutcracker.

I don't remember the clothes for paper dolls being so hard to attach. These don't fit very well, and the attachment tabs are not big enough to stay on well. Most of the figures / clothes must be cut out totally by hand, with lots of details - challenging (needing help) for a young child vs being punch-outable.

You have to cut out all of the outfits which is very tedious.

Very colorful. Looks authentic. Some pieces are too small.

Had to cut everything except for the 4 paper dolls. My fingers were literally numb for two days after all dresses and other paraphernalia was cut out.

Our 6 year old received this at Christmas (of course) and adores the book. As a bonus, the cover is actually a backdrop for the dolls (inner pages can be removed very easily). The dolls and costumes are of sturdy poster-board. Sparkles are plentiful and adhere to the paper very well.
