Paper Mate Dynagrip RT50 Ballpoint Pen, 1.0mm, Refillable, Black Ink, Steel Barrel (PAP90064)

Not sure why I'm writing a review on my favorite pen on Amazon since I have a feeling these puppies are not being made any longer. Seems smarter of me to say it's a horrible pen so stock stays around a few more years....Suffice it to say that if you've ever owned this pen, you probably love it... and having purchased these from Amazon recently, they are indeed the same fine pen.Make sure to confirm the ink color of choice. There are a lot more of these with blue ink than black.

A little flimsy and too lightweight for me. Good company though and they put out great products. Wouldn't buy again

I grew up loving Papermate pens as cheaper alternatives to higher quality pens like Cross and Parker. For me, it destroyed its competition easily because the ink came out darker and the writing was smoother. However, I've always favored some models more than others, and this model was one of my all-time favorites since I was a kid (they stopped making these for some reason). It uses the same refill that you find in their PhD pens which is called the Lubriglide refill I believe. For a regular ballpoint, the writing is great. The body itself is pretty damn solid and the grip is very comfortable for longer writing sessions. The clicking mechanism works great and feels solid. I've heard complaints about the clip being a little weaker than the rest of the body as their clips snapped off on them after long periods of use -- I don't know as I hardly use the clip. No leaking on me, no skipping, and refills are easy to find at office supply stores at reasonable rates.But my only drawback is that the ink is old technology. Pens like the Uniball Jetstream, the Zebra Zmulsion, the PAPERMATE InkJoy, etc. are using new ink formulas that give such a better writing experience, and I'm disappointed that pens like this Dynagrip and like other pens from Papermate that take the same premium refill (like the PhD), don't have the option of using this better ink technology.Overall, I highly recommend this pen. I really like it a lot, and the only reason why it did not get the full 5 stars is because the company has yet to introduce a refill for this pen (along with other models that take the same refill) that writes as nicely, as smoothly, and as dark as their newer series of pens. However, this is coming from a guy whose Amazon name is "Pen Fanatic" lol, so I'm sure the next person who uses it would consider it "perfect".

I have been using this pen since High school flash forward 10 years and it is still the most comfortable pen it is a shame the the only place I can get it is online and looks great too!

These pens are great if you write a lot. There is a rubber grip so if you sweat the pen won't slid around. Great pens. I was worried they stopped making them.

I received a Dynagrip RT50 years ago as a gift. Worked perfectly, but then I went and lost it after about 6 or 7 years of service. Couldn't find any in the UK shops, but, then, I discovered them on Amazon. Bought two just in case I, again, lose one (I'll be MUCH more careful with them now, because I think they're discontinued).The pen is great! Very comfortable with its non-slip front section, and the ink flows smoothly. Unfortunately, the stated color of the ink is blue, NOT black! This fact wouldn't have put me off buying the pair, but if the color is important to you, then you had better try one of the other suppliers.

Great pens and the service was fast and the packaging was good, too! This company is great to do business with.

Has a great feel and the large diameter ink refills last a long time. Smooth writing and no leaking in your pocket.
