Robert Larson 885-1006 6-Inch Engineer Square

Got it and tested it out it came out square, everything is tight as well. The only down side was that the one I have has some marking on it, now the marking looks like it was damage before it was shipped. This doesn't appear to be any damaged from milling, and for what its worth I feel confident that the damage that is on it wont effect its performance. The only reason I am not sending it back was because I waited so long for it and I am not using it as a show piece its a tool and as long as it work I'm happy, RL CO just has to keep an eye out for mistakes and so should other buyers. So 4 stars for a good product with damage to the finish out of the packaging not caused by shipping.

For what these cost they are a fair buy. The vertical blade is not 0 degrees with the base of the square. They don't compare with a good machinist square but the cost is 1/10th of one also. They work for what I intend to use them for! Knew when I ordered them that the quality was equal to the cost. If you expect perfect you are going to have to pay for it!

Needed a machinist square, and found this on Amazon. Great value, great quality- nice find. For sure will be used in my shop, as sometimes you need to square up an adjustable vise on a chop saw or horizontal band saw.

Quality square for reasonable price.

Does exactly what it's supposed to. Using it for table saw setup. Perfect size for my needs. Recommend protecting it against corrosion by wiping on paste wax or silicon free oil (Jojoba or Camellia oil).

Rusts a bit easily

Fantastic square. Checked it when I got it and it is dead on. Once you remove the shipping oil, do rust prevention immediately. I used Boesheild and rennasance wax.
