Positive Engagement with 4 Year-Old Friend
I wasn't quite sure if this book would be a good match for my 4 year-old friend. However, I took a chance, and she LOVED it! It is colorful with attractive, whimsical drawings, and has just the right amount of text to keep her attention, much of which invited conversation. Her small hands easily navigated the interactive pages of flipping, turning, and unfolding little windows. It is sturdy but not so thick that it looks like one designed for a toddler. It appeals to this old lady too!

Good book, Book condition mistated
My 4 year old likes this book and the flaps. It's good to get some conversation started, including arguing about 'white people' not being white, 'black people' not being black, and 'red hair' being orange. The particular book I got was in fair condition, which was disappointing for the cost.

Great moral message
I loved this book as a child, and I now read it to my 3 yr old who also loves it. It teaches a wonderful lesson of diversity and equality which is very important. Recognizing differences between people and understanding that diversity is what makes us all special is a great thing to be able to teach your child in such an indirect and fun way. The flap book style makes this a fun read. Would definitely recommend- good morals are just as important as learning colours and numbers. 5*
