covers all the angles, but too soft
the term "soft arkansas" covers the waterfront of any stone except the hard, translucent ones. this one is too soft for my taste. it is an honest description, and i had just hoped it was one of the "harder soft arkansas stones." stones of this shape are most useful when they are harder. still a useful stone, worth its price, and honestly described

Good stone, nice and big but i'm not sure ...
Good stone, nice and big but i'm not sure of the "grit" I'd say around 800 if I had to guess. It arrived with the smaller corner chipped off I didn't bother to send it back since i have some small slipstones.

It is a good piece for my set of stones
It is a good piece for my set of stones, mine arrived in mint condition. Be careful not to let it drop into the floor, remember it is a stone...

Handy
Bought this stone to keep in my apron pocket. It's great for touching up any type of edge. My only concern is if it will survive a drop on to a concrete floor

Good stone at a good price
An Arkansas stone isn't glamorous but this one is nice. The angles make it easy to get into tight spots.

my favorite honer
as an avid carver who requires sharp tools I find I use this stone more than other types. one can sharpen not only knives but gouges and v tools. It also comes with a great price.

Useful
I bought several different grit stones so I could sharpen my knives, HSS lathe tools and wood cutting tools. This stone works well for that purpose. The shape allows it to sharpen curved surfaces needed for tools.
