Best Gourmet Vanilla Beans Ever.
Got these today. When I brought the shipping box in, I could smell vanilla. My first thought was that the package was opened inside and I had ruined beans. Opened the packing box and was hit in the nose with a blast of vanilla odor that was unbelievably good. I was still worried and dug the vacumn pack of beans out from the other items in the box. Checked the package and it was not open, was still fully sealed but boy, could I smell the vanilla. It was just seeping through the package. How, I dont know because the vacumn pack was still in fine shape. So I assumed it was just strong smelling beans. I hoped anyway. The beans looked in good shape. Were long and went from the bottom seal to the top and looked okay. When I had time later to open the pack and use a couple of the beans I was totally amazed at the smell. I was practically slapped in the face with pure vanilla bean smell. STRONG!!!!. The bean itself was not fully dry and when I sliced it, the oil coated the plate and knife blade. Perfect condition beans. Dry, but not too dry but still had some moisture. Havent gotten beans in such good condition and with the smell and ultimate flavor of these. I couldnt ask for better vanilla beans. The smell of these beans are strong with a very strong flower scent background and have a scent that I cannot describe any better than I have. I have bought beans online before and had good luck and bad luck with the ones I received. Luck of the draw sometimes. But with these...you couldnt ask for better. Other purchasers complaining about them being dry, etc, I dont know, but either they were describing another brand or just got a bad pack, which is possible if a package was sliced and the beans dried out in storage. It happens. But they should return them and get another package and then give their review. These are great beans and dont get any better unless you go and pick them and process them yourself.

SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO GOOD. I use these to make vanilla sugar
SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO GOOD.I use these to make vanilla sugar. Have you ever made vanilla sugar? It's super tricky. You put vanilla into a bag of sugar. You see what I did there? I made you think it was hard when really it's quite simple. Cut the beans in half, scrape out the innards and dump the whole lot into a Zip-Loc (doesn't have to be Zip-Loc brand) bag. Let sit for a couple weeks then open it up and stick your smeller (a.k.a. nose) into the bag. You smell that? That's what heaven smells like. That's what true love smells like. That's what a year's worth of hugs from a kitten feels like. Use it for baking. Use it in your coffee. Eat it by the spoonful and donate money to any organization searching for a cure to type 2 diabetes. I throw it into a bowl with heavy whipping cream and mix it all up until it gets super frothy. I call this product "whipped cream" on account of a the whipping you do to the cream. Try it now, thank me later.

Plump, moist, large vanilla beans - worth the $$$!
Vanilla is kind of my THING. These were the freshest, moistest plumpest vanilla beans I have ever used. After I split them open, the vanilla bean seeds or "caviar" inside was fresh and sticky, not dried out at all. They were full of caviar, with only thin outer skins. The color was glossy and dark. The flavor was excellent, although I have tasted Hawaiian vanilla beans once before that were more complex in flavor. It surprised me that after I made some frozen custard with these beans, cleaned up and put away the evidence in the freezer, as soon as my boyfriend walked in the door he said, "I smell vanilla!" That has certainly never happened before. I see that the price has gone up but I would be happy to buy these again.

Just what I needed
I wanted to make homemade vanilla extract for my family members for Christmas this year, so I knew I had to get started now so it would be ready in time for Christmas. I went to the grocery store to see if I could find vanilla beans. I found them, two beans in a bottle for $15. There was no way I was about to spend that much, so I decided to check Amazon. I found these, and ordered them. The price was too good to beat.As soon as I opened the packaging, my kids were saying how good it smelled in the kitchen. I was able to make 6 bottles, with 6 bean pods in them each and still had extra beans left over! Not to mention, my hands had a nice vanilla smell to them. It's been less than a week and my homemade vanilla extract already looks amazing. I would definitely purchase these again.

Dried out, not flexible.
These are listed as Grade A. What I received was not even Grade B. They are dried out, not moist. They are just under 5 inches. Per international standards, they do not meet grade A or B. That aside, they did smell of Madagascar vanilla beans. I suspect they are over a season old. I did purchase replacements from another company on Amazon. The difference is astounding. I used these for extract, as they are useless for baking.Bottom line, you can find better quality at near the same price.

Would purchase again
I looked carefully at all the reviews of vanilla beans on Amazon as they are a very expensive purchase for me and I use them quite a bit. Some reviews were negative, saying the beans were dried out etc... but I took a chance and was very pleased with the product received. The vanilla beans are moist and easy to split. Packaging was great and well sealed. I kept them in the same packaging and just wrapped saran wrap around it to store the rest when not using and so far so good. Would purchase again.

So close to awsome, but flopped.
The beans are a good length. A little shorter and smaller than the Heilala brand organic bean. I was very excited and purchased both brands at the same time. They smelled slightly less strong also, but still very good. They were soft and pliable. Very fresh. Actually too fresh. They did not cure the beans long enough. I could see visible white mold before I even opened the package. Boo. I got a refund from Amazon.

Pathetic, Small Vanilla Beans
Pathetic looking vanilla beans. I make extract and these are the worst I’ve purchased. Nothing plump about these skinny looking things. The Amazon driver stood in my driveway and threw the package up the porch stairs! Lol
