I lost my last portable magnifier that I found especially useful for reading small print, and also illustrations of documents in books. However, I find them too small to read books, as they require the whole page to be visible at once to be useful.

Certainly has made a huge difference to my reading requirements. Can now see even the smallest of print.

My wife has vision problems and hoped this would help. It works best if placed on the the newspaper/magazine to be read rather then held at a distance like a magnifying glass. Even the very smallest print is easy to read, but as the field of view is quite small, only four or five words can be seen at a time, so it has to be slid along the page to the right to read a whole line, then back to the beginning again for the next line. If that's not a problem for you it's a good device, but in the end my wife found a simple large rectangular magnifying glass a better option.

I am visually impaired and find this equipment most useful in helping me to read.

Decent quality product at a reasonable price. Compares well to more expensive models. My father is severely visually impaired, but he can enlarge the image enough to read text in books. Only real disadvantage is the small size of the screen, which affects how much text is visible at one time.

It came well packed, and had everything it was supposed to have. It looked well made and pretty decent size. To use it you had to have a very steady hand and able to keep it very level and steady. OK, if what you wanted to see fitted under the camera. I feel the optics very iffy, only the slightest movement and what you wanted to magnify was gone. I don't feel it would be very usefull for someone who needed some serious magnification to read a book say... Myself using it to magnify anything small I needed to see was just not worth the effort.The three stars are for the seemingly good quality of the overall device and the fact that it had all it's parts, and came well packed. I will have to lash out for something that worked as intended.......
